I read your post and I guess I would like to offer some friendly advice to help your situation. If you ask for time off from a company, they give you 30 days and after that they have to techinally terminate your employment (it's not firing you). If you come back to the company b4 the 30 days, they Re-instate you. If it's after the 30 days, they Re-hire you. Do everything you can to get back within the 30 days because you get your benefits back, etc. If it's after 30 days, most companies file a DAC report and when you get rehired, you start from scratch.

I'm just trying to save you from that DAC report, sure it wouldn't be anything bad, it's just that you don't want another one added to the list.

I know where your side of things are with TMC so I'm not disputing that. Obviously I'm Pro-TMC for a reason but just understand that there are a lot of students on this board with no experience. They are limited to where they can go and I would say TMC and some others out (ex Maverick, Roehl, etc.) are solid companies. No place is perfect as you know but we try by offering above average things, ex. good hometime, equip, pay.

Let me ask this, the company you're at, do they hire students? If so, I recommend putting it out there so we can add another to the good list and help people on these boards make a good choice.

I'm the first to admit that TMC isn't for everyone and flatbedding especially. It's worth a solid look for those interested in Flatbedding though.

Good luck with the WSOP.

Good Luck
I don't know the circumstances for the banned poster as I only periodically pop in and check out this thread. So I have no idea what happened, but I am a free speech advocate and let the chip land where they may. If the poster resulting in personal attacks then I can understand warning the poster, and if not heeded then banning them. The appearance that some will try to get you banned and can get it done just because of a negative view of the company really should be looked at with a raised eyebrow and casts a shadow in the minds of many about the nature of this company.

It is positive feedback, honest assessments, and good interaction like this post from TMC that I appreciate and look forward to.

It appears to me from looking at TMC from the outside that TMC is a growing company with growing pains. Trucking is a tough business, and it takes one heck of an organization to keep it together when under the pressure and dealing with the chaos of growth. Some folks are going to fall through the cracks, and things are going to be handled poorly. That is just the way it is. Some are going to be unhappy and vocal about it. That is also going to happen. Lessons learned both by the driver and hopefully by the company if they are listening to what happened and try to get a handle on what is happening.

Like I said I don't check in often, but I do check in... I like it when I see what appears to be honest and direct answers to posts like this one by TMC. This is why I keep checking in... BOL

Ridge,

Thank you for clarifying. I have no idea what was said that got deleted. I just hope that you can take an objective look at my perspective of someone coming in late. I truely appreciate the explanation and I aggree that something should not be tolerated in a public forum.

I am by no means with out guilt when it has come to instigation, but I have tried to retain civility and context.

Goldies,

I would honestly hope that after we had discussions via email, that my character should not be in question in this regard. I view individuals that would make a fake persona just push bottons juvenille. You and everyone here can believe me on this. I am not afraid to speak my mind. If I have something to say, I will say it to your face. You seem to have an inate quality that always finds a way of insulting or instigating.

B- A current CAD poster (possibly like yourself) who had a bad rub with TMC and elected to post under a fictitious "handle" in an attempt to hide his true identity.
I am sorry, but you could have easily made your point with out making reference to "possibly like yourself". If you do even consider that it was me, then by all means request to have Ridge verify the IP that I post from and run it against the poster that was banned. Think before you write. Presenting yourself through the medium of written speach allows you the opportunity to actually give thought to what you are presenting. It is similar to proper trip planning. Do you just get the load secure, jump in, and go? You are obviously not stupid. So perhaps it is a character flaw that you have, or maybe by nature you create confrontation. Needless to say, yes I have taken person offense that you infered that I was the poster. Either provide proof of what you say, or simply say nothing.

I will personally except the reasons given by Ridge as to why he was banned and not yours stating it was poor attitude and outright lies. No where in the EULA and terms that you aggree to be a member in any forums I have ever beloged to stated that these are reasons to have membership or posting privalges revoked. You yourself made the same claims against me in the attempt to discredit me. I find it even more funny that in the conversations that I had with you via email you had a completely different demeanor. You said yourself that you had suspected some of the issues that I had brought up, but you felt it was not enough for you to not be happy. You are happy in your current situation, and by all means I am happy for you. What it is all about is finding what is right for the person. TMC was not right for me and it would not be right for others. If someone is presented with what they will see from a negative aspect then it helps them. Do you realize that in the end, even if I do discourage someone that would not have worked out at TMC because they would have similar issues that I did that I am saving TMC money? Better to have someone coming in the door knowing that they may experience exactly what I did. If they do then it is on them to make the best of it. I did not have that perspective. Trust me, if I had known from the very beginning that I had to pay $5 for that disposable camera, I would have never left for orientation. I would have never even posted, that in of itself is a deal breaker for me, as it says alot about what I should expect from the company. By the time it did come to my attention, I had already invested the time of the 1st week of orientation, going out with a trianer that was completely unneeded, and back again. At every stage of the initial process I felt I have gone this far, need to ride it out. I learned in the Marines that life is 100% different in the fleet then it is while in training. To be very honest with you, if the pay package had been an option for me before I had turned the truck in, I would have continued to try and make it work at TMC going with the milage package. TMC-Matt can probally look up my activity I was there, and I have no doubt that my personal income would have been alot better. I had a very good FM that I worked well with. Another thing to consider with what had happened with me, I was Long Haul. There is a complete different beast. IMHO something that TMC should adopt that would tear down a major argument that I had is to offer a pay package that pays milage based on practical miles.

ok guys im peacefull now so dont bann me or i will have to make another username again lol
Yup, but no other company is any better. The flaw with that rating system is that you have to have a current application in with CAD looking for another job, so you must have quit your other one. Really smart way to set that up.

Hey all,

Talked with Dennis and David today! My application has been accepted! hoorah.
All that is left is to decide when I want to go to orientation. Been a heck of a day a work today, and have to be back at the truck at 3 a.m. - so I will catch up with the rest later.

jakobagain, your posts are very difficult to follow . Your IP is what will get banned not necessarily your user name.
