Default TMC Fuel Stops

If you would like v.4 of the TMC fuel stops, in Microsoft Streets and Trips format, please PM me with your e-mails.

If you don't have Streets and Trips, I have the files in Comma Separated Value format also. You should be able to imprt the files into Delorme. I tried to import them into CoPilot and it didn't work well; ten stops wouldn't import.

Regards and think spring.

Might be in Des Moines next weekend, if training wills it to be so.

Good luck.

hey Von, tried to call you. Hope everything is well with your dads, and let them know the Hun says hello.

Update to all other guys.

I've een on my second fullyu working week this week, and it's working out pretty good. I love this job. You always see different places, and sometimes TMC routing has you go down such beautiful routes that i'm just ion aw.

This for sure is a good way to get to know the country.

This week i've been pushed back to mid-day deliveries b/c the shipper last friday decided he want's me loaded at 1AM saturday morning, so i got homne mid day on saturday. For me to get my 34 reset, i needed to leave on monday early morning, so my whole week was messed up.

This weekend i gotta go down south to NC, so no Sunday for me. maybe nezt week will be nicer, it starts out nicer, b/c i'm at least headed south instead of staying up here in the NE all week.

Congrats too all i know, and keep up the good work. The old lady is bugging me, so i gotta go.

If i have time during the week, i'll post some more.

cheers

BND

What's your handle? Is it same as here?
I don't spend a lot of time on the CB. I don't really have a handle, if I heard a call for terrylamar I would certainly answer. My name is Terry Lamar Davis. I started using terrylamar because there were too many Terry Davis'. My truck number is 91144 or just call for TMC southbound or whatever. I was up in Wichita Falls just the other day. I was thinking about you and the other members from WF on here. Which remindes me of another suggestion I have....

I had the load from hell this week. I picked up a load from Seguin, TX to deliver 4 stops in Oklahoma. I arrived at my pickup appointment early. There was only one truck in front of me already getting loaded. Hours later, I was already suspecting this was going to be a bad load, he was loaded and secured and on his was. He had a covered wagon, so I knew I had to add tarping time to what I watched him do. I, finally, started getting loaded, hours late. They loaded a big roller press on caster wheels, then started loading corrugated roofing material, in custom containers made out of corrugated roofing metal. It was all sharp edges, front to back, top to bottom. Then they added coils of roofing material for good measure. Everything was on the trailer, but is such a way that there was no easy way to secure it. We had to build supports out of 2x4's so the straps wouldn't destroy the cargo. Of course I couldn't strap across the coils. I ended up using every 4", 2", chain and binder I had and wished for more. Then came the tarping. Fortunately for me, when I picked up my truck it had many extra padding tarps on it. I used them all. Now, ridiculously, late I was on my way or I would have been if I had hours to run. My fleet manager had told me earlier in the day, yeah, it is four stops, you can easily do it in one day. From what little experience I have, I told him no way, but I would try. Of course, I was right. I get to my first appointment at 1500, not 0730. My second appointment was on Ft. Sill, OK. They had me going from one gate to the next and then back again. Why don't consignees wait for you at the gate to guide you like they said they would? That ended day one, well day two if you count loading, securing and tarping. Remember, I am untarping, unsecuring, securing and tarping again at every stop! Day three I get there early, it was a bad place to back into, for me anyway. Then on to the last stop. They were there to unload me. This load had to be tarped!, every place I went to unloaded me and stored the roofing materials outside. Talk about an exercise in futility! My advice to anyone is not to accept a load from Berridge in Seguin, TX! Other than that, I am having a good time. I caught a break this Thursday through the weekend. I had a load going back home, then they couldn't find a load to run me this weekend, so I picked up a load, again, in Seguin, TX bound for Las Cruces, NM. So, I get to stay at home again!

Hi everybody..........well, Monday starts my 7th week out with my trainer. Everything is going good, what's that? Yup, I said seventh week!! We've had a bit of bad luck, 2 breakdowns, including a 9 day breakdown during my training, so it was decided (even though my trainer was willing to release me) that I should do an extra week. At first I wasn't too thrilled, but in this business, I guess you've gotta roll with the punches. At least TMC actually cares about the quality of training they give their new drivers....they don't just "push them through". Seven weeks is a long time away from home, though, so it looks like I'll get to go home next weekend for a few days before going to Des Moines.

good luck all................. jeff

Yeah, I would come up with an excuse like a breakdown, if I was slower than everyone else.
