Any sinner should always remember that the God who commands us to love our neighbour is the same God who will cast any and all unrepentant sinners into the "eternal fire". Not my writing, I used the ole' copy and paste from the first search in google for "bible quotes about gays". I honestly could care less if two females decide to be lesbians, but two men being gay, thats just sick.

But in all seriousness I think if two "people" decide that they want to spend their time together as life partners they should be able to have the benefits that a married couple have.

 

islamic fundies, christian fundies.. there is no difference, should be quote the rest of the scriptures and see why and how the same type of religious bigot could regard you as "unclean"? This is American were people are supposed to be from the religious idiocy of others. If you are willing to get into other peoples lives that do not effect you in the slightest, don't be shocked when the other religions do the same to you. I would almost love to see the Islamics take a big chunk of the country over just so the religiously "pure" in this country can get a real taste of what they have been dishing out for the last 2000+ years. Living under a different religious hob nail boot would make little difference.

One can debate many things about the translation of the bible, in the end it is a personal choice how you choose to read it. But as long as everyone is following the bible why don't we look at a few verses from the same book of the bible.

Don't let cattle graze with other kinds of Cattle (Leviticus 19:19)

Don't have a variety of crops on the same field. (Leviticus 19:19)

Don't wear clothes made of more than one fabric (Leviticus 19:19)

Don't cut your hair nor shave. (Leviticus 19:27)

Any person who curseth his mother or father, must be killed. (Leviticus 20:9) Have you ever done that?

If a man cheats on his wife, or vise versa, both the man and the woman must die. (Leviticus 20:10).

If a man sleeps with his father's wife... both him and his father's wife is to be put to death. (Leviticus 20:11)

If a man sleeps with his wife and her mother they are all to be burnt to death. (Leviticus 20:14)

If a man or woman has sex with an animal, both human and animal must be killed. (Leviticus 20:15-16).

If a man has sex with a woman on her period, they are both to be "cut off from their people" (Leviticus 20:18)

Psychics, wizards, and so on are to be stoned to death. (Leviticus 20:27)

If a priest's daughter is a whore, she is to be burnt at the stake. (Leviticus 21:9)

People who have flat noses, or is blind or lame, cannot go to an altar of God (Leviticus 21:17-18) hmm I guess the church does not need handicap ramps.

Anyone who curses or blasphemes God, should be stoned to death by the community. (Leviticus 24:14-16)



So if we are gonna hold up on high the Leviticus 20:13 lets go ahead and start following ALL of Leviticus, until then get off your mighty horse and keep your religion to yourself. Lets not forget the bible was used to clearly demonstrate that God was against interracial marriage and he was Pro-Slavery!

Gay marriage has nothing to do with trying to devalue anyones marriage it has everything to do with a state recognized union between two people who love each other and want to spend the rest of their lives taking care of each other and having rights to property and medical decisions for one another.

If you think Gay marriage will devalue marriage so bad lets go ahead and outlaw divorce and make people face fines and jail time for short "Britney Spears" type 72 hour marriages.

If you say marriage is for procreation then lets go ahead and absolve all childless marriages after a few years. I mean after all marriage is for procreation only right?

I am actually more a fan of civil unions myself but more importantly, My God wants me to love Everyone no matter what. You will never show anyone the way to the kingdom of heaven with HATE.

Quote all you want from the "Old Testament."....just don't forget everything in it no longer applies...since the "New Testament" replaced it.

The old matters of hand, applied to a civilization that had not yet been given a Redeemer.

It's like using old laws in our Country, that had to deal with life before the advent of the Automobile...or now, new Techno-Age.
See how silly some of those old laws now seem?

I fully believe we will never have anything "right" in this life or World. It is still a World subject to an Evil Lord. The New Testament makes more sense of our current life. But also, keep in mind WHO the Lord of this World is, and who has not yet been replaced.

If anyone here wants normalcy...and moral righteousness...I hope you understand...it will never happen...in this current Era of Mankind. If you happen to have any normalcy and happiness in your life...don't look at it as your "right" but rather a "blessing."

That being said...I believe when we Judge others...we need to be very careful how we do that. I feel all this "alternate lifestyle" is a bunch of crap to downplay and help allow perversion be accepted as a form of okay or normal behavior. I believe when we judge something as destructive to the greater good...then we should be able to as a Society...stand our ground and to hell with PC bullsheit.
Anyone who wishes to waterdown the issue and place guilt trips on those who help make the decisions for Society...your slick tactics are not unnoticed....and we know where your inspiration originates.

 

No one has explained how homosexual destroy the greater good (whatever the heck that means in the grand scope of things) of this or any country. The fact is AGAIN, either you can be a religious follower or an American, you cannot do both well. When you demand that other American citizens be demonized and their private lives scrutinized and their equal protections destroyed, you are simply putting yourself in line to be next. This is Taliban west..
