How about Gordon getting penalized with a 42nd starting spot?? Didn't look like it helped him at all yesterday, he needed a huge push from Stremme to make that power move by Kenseth and Busch. Dangerous on what happened with the left rear shock, could have broke off and caused a huge wreck. That's ok doesn't matter where you start at Daytona, eventually he will be up there, just have to miss all the beating and banging to get there.

Actually there are 2, one would be Bobby Allison in 1978 from the 33rd spot and BP in 1975 from the 32nd spot. Sorry, I can't take credit for knowing that, NASCAR.com had already put it out there. 8) Been a long long time though. That was back in the day when it was all motor, the plates never existed then.

Ditto . Micheal Waltrip may be the worst cup driver of all time . He has 2 Daytona 500 wins , in unreal cars . Other then that , he's done nothing , all he has is his used car sales ability and last name .

Yoop, Harvick just did Allison one better. 34th starting spot today. For some odd reason, I had a feeling that record was going to fall today. I got that feeling yesterday during the Busch race that someone was going to come from the back and win the 500.

Typical Daytona restrictor plate race-Sit in the back and wait til the last 50 laps or so

Did you notice how they spread out during the race until the last 30 laps?? Looked like a typical 70's race and then the last 30 laps they went berserk. As Boris Said said, "These guys are like a bunch of pit bulls with a grenade in their mouths." That last 30 laps was like someone pulled the pin in that grenade. They suddenly got after it, think NASCAR came up with a good plate combo for Daytona. Drivers seemed to mind their manners with give and take for the most part.

Not sure what the heck Blaney was thinking when he took Schrader out. That was a bonehead move to come blasting back up the track from pit lane. One would think NASCAR will or has sat him down and had a little talk with him about blasting down pit lane like he did.

I heard 2 great things on Race Scanner today-Don't know who said what because I had it where all the drivers were on it and not just one.

One Driver toward the end of the Race asked his Pit if they had a Bag of Magic Dust because he wanted a couple of Hand Fulls

And another driver said If I win this race it's not because I'm doing good-It's just the other cars are doing horribly :P

I tell ya what, that Hotpass was ok, but not worth $90 for the season to me. Luckily it was a free view weekend. They cut to commericial the same time the Network Feed does, I don't like that, BUT they keep it where you can still see what is happening with the race in the lower left hand corner. The problem is, you hear the commericial but unless you have a 42 inch TV or bigger, it is hard to see what is going on in the lower left hand corner. During the Live Feed, they give you that view in the upper right hand corner, and a combo of 2 other views from the Hotpass camera's.

Like how they get 2 people to do play-by-play during the race for the particular driver and if that driver goes out of the race, they flip to somebody else. Of the original 5 today, only Harvick and Waltrip were still there, Johnson had switched to Gordon and I think Stewart switched to Hamlin. That was neat to see.
