Default Busch Race in Mexico

Thoughts??

I thought it was pretty good but it was very very boring. Way too many full course yellow's ruined it for me. No way should a Busch Race last as long, time wise, as a Cup race when it is much less of a distance. Talk is, next year's race could be in Monterrey though NASCAR says Mexico City is the place. Would be better logistically to be in Monterrey since it's just across the border but Mexico City has a freakin huge fan base that can walk to the track if they want. The thought for Monterrey is so American fans can attend.

Boy Montoya is going to be good at Infineon in late June. Watkins Glen may be a little tougher with the more high speed turns. He sure can finesse a car to death, I didn't see him do one curb hop like we see so many Americans do these days. Was the late wreck his fault?? I don't think so, he tried to back out of there by evidence of his late tire lockup once he saw Pruett chopping him off. Bad move on Pruett's part, spotter should have told him Montoya was there. No reason to whine like he did afterwards, grow up dude, you got beat by your own stupidity for trying to chop off a faster car. That faster car just happens to be one of the best drivers in the world behind the wheel who is known for those bonzai moves. I was not surprised to see Montoya do so well yesterday. He showed huge potential on the road courses a few years ago when he did that car swap with Jeff Gordon at Indy's road course. He was only a tenth off Gordon's best lap for his first time in a stock car.

Just for you Logger, Ambrose came home 8th after being spun out late while battling for 5th place with 2 laps to go. Somehow he got back up to 8th place in the final sprint to the line.

Surprisingly I enjoyed it and Normally I don't like road courses.
I was kinda ticked with Pruett and his whining when HE was the one who cut in front of Montoya-after hearing him crying about it I guess he thought Montoya should have locked em up when he sliced in front of him.

I guess Pruett thinks that because he is "Scott Pruett" everyone should bow down to him. Did he miss the 24 Hours at Daytona when Montoya was relieving him?? Montoya was pulling bonzai moves like crazy to get back out front. You have to be aware of who is racing you. He knew it was a teammate, so don't chop him off. If he's a teammate then you should know how he drives better than others. He should have already known that going into 1, he wasn't in his mirror which meant he was diving in low, so stay high and wide. How did he ever get to this point by driving like a rookie and then whining about it??

obviously you know more about road courses than me but even I could see him jam his car to the right. I still don't know what Montoya could do other than what he did do.

Montoya is one hell of a driver-I think once he gets the handle on NASCAR he'll do ok

That's what I'm saying yoop, I would blame Pruett more than Montoya. Montoya was already committed to the bottom, the better part of valor would have been for Pruett to stay wide and let him go. He said he would have let Montoya go by later since he was so much faster. Sounds like a bluff comment there. With less than 10 to go, he would not have pulled over and let Montoya go, he would have raced him for the win. Pruett thinks us fans are dumb enough to fall for that comment?? Nice play at "I'm the victim here."
