What does this driver have to make per mile to break even? $1.30????

edited to add in expenses and break even # in red
I haven't taken the time to read the other nine pages so this or something similar may already have been offered, but I have been running flatbed on my own authority since April and here is what it takes for me to break even, assuming 8,000 miles per month:

Fixed costs per month: $2,400
Operating Costs: $0.96 (or at least it was last time I checked, fuel has come down since then so I will guess 0.92) per mile.

8000 miles * 0.92= $7360 op costs +$2400 fixed costs =$9760 total costs / 8000 miles = $1.22 per mile breakeven point

Thanks for your numbers. They are nearly the same as Rev's.

$0.60 per mile less is "nearly the same" in your eyes?

Your #'s were $1.22/mile for 9000 miles not including wages.

This is fun now that we know Rev's numbers. I had no idea I was in better shape then him.

I think I'm going to eat some pasta and toast to celebrate!

You'd think that if you're going to promote a legal service, you could at least form a cohesive sentence
