If you are 500 miles West of your home base, then you conceivably could run 1,000 miles East and still be within your mileage restriction. If you ran with your Dad then he could just pay you for the miles you run or pay the equivalent of 1/2 the solo driver pay for all miles run. He could also pay you a flat percentage of the rate, which is how some of us pay our drivers.
I do 1000 mile runs most every week.....some times I do it twice in the week.

Okay, now show me where profit is listed in there, and where it is supposedly lumped in. After all, profit is not a cost, and that list shows costs. Profit is revenue above costs, including salary. My salary does not include the profit from the business. That is separate, and would be listed on a revenue spreadsheet (which I have, and have posted numbers from in the past).
