In all seriousness, Rosty, good luck to you. It's a rough ride out there for O/O's right now, but if you've got a good plan, you can do OK.

 

How bout 8,000.00 a mile and 8 miles a week, spread out over 3 days of coarse. I don't wanna over work myself.

You know you're right, it was kinda funny but a couple weeks ago I went to the cb shop in Hanover, PA to pick up an antenna, a mic for my cb (don't know what happened to the original), and a screw to hold the cb in the bracket, that's it, that's all I needed. The total came to 80 bucks (he talked me into a better antenna or it would've been cheaper than that) any who, he says "when you get home call me and I'll help you with your swr", he then briefly explains the process and I said, wait a minute my radio doesn't have a meter. He asked what kind I had and I said it was a cobra and that I had it out in my truck if he'd like to see it.

Well I brought the radio in and his first words were "man you need to upgrade, that's a beginner radio it'll never withstand the vibration of the truck, and it's gonna sound terrible, noboby's gonna talk to you." I was.....ops: ops: Now, I'm trying to be frugal because I'm already over budget on the truck, all of it my fault because I can be very anal about things, and I can't stand half assed stuff.

So I said "what do have in stock?".......................
Long story short, 60 bucks turned to 80, 80 turned to 180 in less than a half hour............. but I got a good radio and he opened it up and did what they do to give it full power.

So I get home and my wife says "Did ya get everything you needed?" I said "yeah ya might say that" So I told her what happened and she said "Well if it's a tool you need to do your job than it sounds than you did the right thing"

She's taken guys. :lol: :lol:

 

And that's when you smiled and just nodded your head without adding anymore to the conversation.

 

Yep, I went immediately to bed.......at 2 in the afternoon as to not f**k up a good thing.
