The funny thing about this type of freight is that the rates ALWAYS go up when they need to move it.
Sad,isn't it? You would think these idiots would offer a fair rate to carriers that provided them with a good service in other areas and not take advantage of them when they get in a bad area. I have the same philosophy with the ridiculous 1.00pm or less freight. Last month a broker that had a cheap load out of TX wouldn't budge on his rate but was practically begging me to take a load when I was in KS. When I told him my rate he about fell out of his chair. Business is business I guess. Sad it has to be this way though.

Shapp has approx 80 similar loads on getloaded
mostly NYC metro (tolls just went up another 10 dollars)
and every one will move at those prices
and these are the posted loads
I am sure they have plenty of "regulars "
(its baled garbage)
deadheading has become so crazy expensive that
that even the most purest o/o
is snapping up these loads to get out

At the beginning-yes! But you can't stay in business very long, running just for fuel money! So eventually, it should get better,.....i hope...

I really wish shapp would not take up 3/4 of the board space everyday.
I see these loads going out on some really crappy trucks. The otherday I saw a truck with a crushed sleeper on it. The guy was still using it.
Also a few more with flat tires, all filthy, looks like they haven't been washed in a year. These guys are running so thin, they will be going out pretty soon with the fuel prices. I wish getloaded would ban those loads.
I will be going to these refuse companies to see what they pay directly, there are a few guys I know of, not personally that do ok with these loads. I do not wish to haul any of these, but I must know what shapp is getting. All of these places are within minutes of where I am located.

I didn't know this trashy loadboard was still running. Though anybody in their right mind would avoid it.
Surprise, surprise, it's still active. Guess there's a place 'for all kinds.'
God Bless all

don't laugh at the rate
these loads are snapped up quick
at 4.00 a gallon
the guys who used to deadhead "to a better area"
are now being squeezed into taking these loads
they will never raise these rates
there is absolutely no profit in the load it's 100% fuel money
theres no way you can make them budge on the rate by refusing to haul it
theres a line waiting to get it
|
Not only is the rate to the truck not going to go up with that guy...but the guy with the truck is gonna pull teeth getting his money from that....."Fine fellow". He is charging the shipper in the area of $1300 for the load I betcha.

I've seen decent rates around 1.80-2.00/mi ttt on Getloaded as well. There's 2 ends of the spectrum.
