Does this mean I am a war profiteer now? Should I start preparing for my Congressional hearing?
BTW, the death machines I'm supplying parts for look similar to this:

No imitation here. The tread on my tires is genuine Bridgestone.

Easter weekend was pretty busy for me. Apparently no one wanted to leave Dallas that weekend and some brokers were tripping over trying to get their loads covered. Freight out of Houston was busy as well. Several nursery loads were loading out of there. It seems that with the nursery season in gear it has helped boost the rates out of TX.

My way was correct. Tread is Bridgestone. Tread is singular, not plural.

Rev - I will be in Pa on Friday and pick up something to Mi or OH. Maybe then run something up to Wi ....... Blah Blah Blah ad nauseum
He lives in Wi (supposedly) and he says to go home for the weekend ? When are weekends in Wisc ? Sounds like a lot of Billy Big Rigger talk from the great bag of wind

The tree loads that I called about yesterday morning were all gone, but they hinted that there might be more of them today. Well, while I was waiting for a call back on them, I got a phone call from the agent who handles the military stuff I haul. She gave me 3 options for trips to get me back to PA for another load. Here's the one I picked:
Load empty wooden axle racks right at the assembly plant in MI, and take them to Arvin Meritor in Maxton, NC. Then grab a load of axles at the plant in Maxton and take them up to PA. Today is a good day. 8)
Total (gross) linehaul: $4000 (my cut comes to $2600)
FSC: $480
Dispatched miles: 1202
Deadhead miles: ZERO
That should put me in PA some time on Friday, at which point I can still snag one more shipment heading to OH or Michigan. At that point, I will likely head back home for the weekend (not sure if I'll do it empty or loaded yet - I'll see if I can find myself a short trip running over the weekend up to WI), and let them know that I am available for one of their trips out of WI or IL heading to PA.
(BTW, these are the same loads that prompted this comment from DD60

Wow.So the load payed a little more than 2.15 a mile.Big deal. Standard detention pay is 50-75 dollars an hour after the first 2 hours. Deduct that from the time lost and the load isn't all that great.

Thats a borderline on the "are" and "is". Since it was used to descibe multiple items, I figured it was in a plural sense. I know if it was to describe the brand (B-stone), is would fly. Anyways...
.How do you load the vehicles in the LS trailer? Do they have the logistics posts like the prior carrier?
Also, are you digging it more than HHG?
And should I start a thread on the tradeshows?
