Well, got my load lined up for Monday and on my way to Texas with another crane. They have 3 trucks getting loaded on Monday and want me there for 7 as they have another truck coming in at 9. This place has never loaded a truck in less than 6 hours so it should be interesting.

 

Excessive does not equal cannot afford.

 

I stand corrected. I thought that even the old “buzzbox” AC welders converted their current to DC. I asked a welder & he corrected me. He did say that if you are stick or MIG welding mild steel, DC is better because you have more control.

So, Steve is probably once again right as usual. It most likely was DC current being used to weld his trailer.

And part of why I think Steve & his thread are so awesome is that I keep learning things too!

Yes, I remember that post. Steve with his signs saying whether he was on drugs, yes or no. He was saying how stupid this whole random drug testing thing for O/O's was and that he didn't think he actually had to do it as he was a company of one. Something like that anyway.

Ya know I don't know how to explain this because no matter how I try to say it -- it ain't gonna sound right but when you talking about druggies and if your refering to people that do weed then you really ought to consider the fact that the weed doesn't do near the damage that all the alchole does ??? If fact in some cases n for some people with certain problems it's used as a medicine !!! They have pot disp machines in CALIF now just like soda machines !!! I have done both before and prefer the lack of the after n side effects of the weed (not to mention the lack of gaining weight from the beer) versus the hang-over n expense of the alchole !!! I'm not in any way saying that a person should be under the influence of either one while driveing but at the same time if your off for a period of time you should be able to enjoy either without being worried about the HEAT comeing down on you ??? They should just simply legalize it (weed) and make it a everyday thing like beer n cigarettes !!!!
