That sounds like a good plan leasing on. I hope you continue to post about your experience going from authority to leasing. I hope you also lease on with a flatbed company. Make some contacts then go back on your own a little down the road.

He does have a set Diesel. He's been nothing but honest on here and is smart enough to know when to move on to something else before it's too late.

And by the way. You may want to change your picture. The Dog is in a world of trouble right now with a video his son made and turned over to CNN. His career and show are done. He screwed up big time.

Sometimes you need to cut your losses and do something else. There are some brokers who have decent paying loads. Often finding better rates is a matter of getting to a better area. Some of the flat bed carriers will train you in securement, should you decide that is what you want to do. CRST Malone and Landstar have agents near you in California. Both companies will train you. If you want to pull a flat bed you will need to purchase or rent a trailer and buy securement equipment. I would expect to pay about $2,500 for everything, unless you can find someone who wants to sell some used tarps, etc.,

Cold up there steve?? It is HOT down here!! We had to move across the street last night for some peace and quiet!! It was well worth the 10.00 for parking. This place is really nice. If you get to down here again it is across from the J and well worth the money too. They have security all night long and all day. The bathrooms are CLEAN and the drivers room has nice comphy sofas and chairs to sit and relax in.

with the price of fuel the way it is we would rather be safe than sorry....we need to get locking fuel caps for the truck. There have been several trucks in the J that had fuel stolen from them.

I would love to have an APU too. We didnt idle last night and it did finally cool off. We just hook up the fan and do the best we can.

We put 190 gallons of fuel in yesterday and it cost 611.00   That really sucks....I dont know how some of these guys are going to make it. We met a Yellowstone driver yesterday and his truck payment is 1800.00....He says he can make it but it wont be easy!!

well, stay warm up there steve and keep posting I for one (the cheerleader  ) love to read your posts!!

tootie

I've stayed at that truck stop twice already. That's who polished all my tanks and stuff. And by the way, don't freaking call me for the next 2 hours, I'm shutting my phone off. You know what time it is!!!

The Dog is that guy on TV who has a show, The Bounty Hunter. His son has a black girlfriend and it's obvious The Dog is racists and his son recorded him saying every word under the sun about her race then sent it to the news. So, he's done. The network has already put his next season on hold and I'm sure they will cancel him totally in a few days.

Dog the Bounty Hunter. Steve doesn't get why BD has it as an avatar. Pity.
