Steve...if you can park the bob-tail at the base take Tramway Blvd up from I25 (call to ask) take the tram to the top of Sandia Peak and hike around...the view is STUNNING and there's food and "beverages" up top too 8)

On the rub rail thing...we have a trailer without a rub rail. I ripped two straps right off that sucker one time (narrow door, in our yard).

Got loaded up late yesterday and didn't make it that far before I had to pull off to the side of the road. I didn't drive yesterday but it was 3 hours past my bed time. The heat was something else loading up. I kept going inside for water.
If I don't get a load back out of New Mexico today I may be stuck for the weekend and I'll try that hike you mentioned although the tram sounds easier. Not sure what Rev is talking about but I think he needs to lay down on one of his customers couches. I'm getting $2.00 per mile for 416 miles from Phoenix Arizona WHERE I WAS to Albuquerque New Mexico. Simple math, well, at least for me.

I think they're illegal
Only if the switch is within the drivers reach, needs to be OUTSIDE the cab.

Enough baby talk....I dropped my load off this morning and was all prepared to head to the truckstop for the weekend and the phone rang. It was the same broker calling me for another load for the same people I'm delivering too. It's a scaffolding rental company. I'm dead heading out 500 miles to pick up scaffolding at a power plant then coming right back. 1,000 miles at $2.00 per mile. I did about 200 miles today and I'll get up early and do the 300 before 8am. I sort of wish I had some weight on the truck, it's not the best ride when empty. Dead head miles for yesterdays load was 7 miles from the truckstop to University Ave in Phoenix. Todays dead head was 0. Happy meat head. Go crawl back in you hole like you always do for a month. I swear you must have male PMS.
