Since most of the expense goes into getting a shipment ON the truck, it should be counted 100%. I thought we had all agreed to this, but if I'm wrong, please correct me.
Fine by me if all contestants agreed. Just want to make sure we are all on the same page. The Judge needs to understand the rules.

Expect that it's gonna take a bit of time for all the numbers to come in, because we still have to get PAID on the shipments.

For me, that means overnighting it to Wisconsin, and then playing the waiting game. I'm just hoping I have something to post before July, with the lightning fast  rate at which the Graebel accounting department has been paying loads as of late.

I've got 3 shipments in house right now, waiting to be paid, and I'll be sending in another on Monday. Then I'm loading up on Wed the 21st, and dropping that one on Friday or Saturday - not sure which. That will be my last shipment for this first month, so I'm crossing my fingers that I'll have my complete numbers by the 30th at the latest.

I have 10,000 paid to me so far....

HOWEVER...

I just dropped off the paperwork for 3 shipments today, and am on a 6500 linehaul, so, I too need to catch up. The accounting department pays on the 1st and 15th, so in a few weeks, I expect to triple my #'s, and I'm home a HELL of a lot more than the other 2!

Unloaded 22,000lbs today on a 6500$ linehaul. Turned in paperwork for $6500+ I did in the south, therefore I should be flirting with 24-25K in linehaul since the contest start. I load 24,000 in Dallas Saturday, which also pays 6800 (going to Lexington KY).

I'm definitely in the game 8)

You guys seem to be packin and stackin away during the summer "moving" season. What about Nov to Mar - much work during that time? Keep up the posts, I'm going to CDL school in Aug at local CC and looking hard at HHG especially as an o/o after I get some time under my belt.

Did my own UHaul pack and move last summer, probably had less than 100 cubes not used in a 24' truck and large trailer behind. Vegas to Raleigh in 4 days with father-in-law behind me with van full of pets! Hired some local help unloading, he'd worked 2 years for a moving company and noted it'd was the best packed UHaul he'd seen. OK, so maybe my ego is still pushing me

BOL in the contest

NC newbie, I wish you the best of luck in your OTR career after school, and you too can make it in HHG with some training and experience. Ya gotta take the good and the bad in this business.

As far as our busy season- yes, we are slammin' and jammin' in the summer. Usually around Nov- Mar its a bit slower so me and dad take a carribean cruise or something around January

Month one is officially over! Get out those calculators (and not a "trucker calculator"), and start adding those settlements up!

I've got all but two of my shipments accounted for. One of them SHOULD pay yet this week, and the other will pay next week, I hope. When you've got your total (along with total mileage), PM the number to Rawlco.

I think I'm gonna need a bigger calculator

I'll give y'all a taste of what's to come: The total amount for tips for the month came in at $1,350. 8)

I am ready. If any of you are empty you still have almost 4 hours to get a load on the truck to be included in the contest.
