I'm trying to talk TEal out of it, but he seems hell bent on getting out. The good news is, I might buy his truck if he bows out of the race!

I'm looking into HHG field for driving job. Found a HHG company that says they are a "self hauler". Can anyone tell me what that means? Also, any tips on what to look for or avoid in a HHG company when job shopping? Thanks!

Self-hauler means they haul all the jobs (or a majoprity) of the ones they book. That means they take care of the driver a little better

Do you guys own your own trailer or lease? If lease, how much do they go for?

Me and t95 pull company trailers. Its equipped with pads, straps, etc, and the agent supplies it, and also takes a percentage chunk for it. Theres no set amount for the trailer, its offered in the linehaul % revenue, so its not an issue. Owning a trailer can get 5-8% EXTRA of linehaul, but you must supply all the equipment. My Dad goes that route, but I pull a agent-owned trailer.

A new HHG trailer can go from 35-75k, DEPENDING ON OPTIONS/FEATURES. Ooops, caps off

"The bedbugger revenue contest..Sunday! Sunday! Sunday!" (Monster truck commercial announcer voice)..."You pay for the whole seat, but you just need the edge!!!!"
