kevin must not have frieght to deliver. ha, ha, take the time to move ll of the trailers around just so you can call dispatch and say "hey, look what i did"...i doubt that they give a ****. and you did nothing but waste your time for free, and all the local guys will say...you best stay on line 4 for all of that free work. also, i hope you don't slip and fall doing all of that climbing in and out of the truck while doing a job that was not assigned to you to do...you may have to fight the company for that worker comp. claim.
Are you ALWAYS assigned a duty when YOU get in and out of a truck? i highly doubt it.

so say i were to climb out of the truck with two left feet, and fall and sprain my ankle or something....i was getting out of a company truck. it is irrelevant WHAT i was getting out of the truck for. For all they know, i was getting out to do a pre-trip, or take a leak, or because i was going into a S&R office to get paperwork.

Maybe i should rephrase my previous statement. i would think that taking the time to line up the trailer would be a waste of time and valuable resources. Kevin, you have way more important things to do than this. why would you take the time when on one hand no one will appreciate it, good odd no one will even notice, if they do you will not get a "ataboy, job well done". on the other hand...it will be hoed up again when you go back next week.

I'm sure there are plenty of drivers willing to work for free ...heck during the winter it's a way to stay warm and compliant with company idle policy when sitting and not idiling the truck you've been assigned with no APU .
