my beef is the guy that takes 10 minutes to pull in and out of a space to get sraight, while holding up traffic.
i know i suck at parking, thats why i park in the back, and i also give up after a couple tries when i know im holding up traffic.

but worse, is the guy who pisses on the asphalt near his truck when there is a bathroom just 500 feet away.

Now see, what does it matter if your trying to pay inside about whether you pull up or not? The guy behind you can't fuel until your's is paid for in this day and age of fuel and run pricks. But I get the gist of it, it's the one's that go in and pay then decide to get lunch and a shower.
Yeah I hear you Mr. Ford95. I guess I assumed that the guy behind me was in a hurry more or less. If I pulled up, he could start checking fluids, cleaning windows, etc. I sure appreciated when a guy pulled up on the fuel island when he was done fueling 'cuz I WAS the one in a hurry.

I recall a time up at the Fargo Flyin' J on a sunny, late afternoon.

A trainee exited out of the passenger side (forget which large carrier), started hopping around, unzipped, and let her fly. Even at 50-yards away I could see he was relieved to be relieving himself all over the ground, his truck tires, and his neighbor's truck drivers. I'm sure he even spelled his name out a few times.

Doggone trainers. They need to let their students know 1) not to get a 96-Oz big gulp at the last truck stop 300-miles back and 2) that the doors aren't opening until they shut it down for the evening.

Well, sort of. If the company has issued you a ComData, or similar fuel card, you can "pay at the pump." But, you still have to go inside to get your receipt.
That depends on your company. My receipt prints at the pump at T/A(Pronto Pay) and I donot need to get a receipt at Pilot.

I have a question regarding petty theft. How common is that? How many of you have had marker lights, tail lights, dolly cranks, antennas, bungees, ect. disappear?

In the last 4 years I have experienced this 5 or 6 times. I drive a tanker and valve handles seem the be the favorite item with markers a close second. Dolly crank once. I guess what goes around comes around but how much of a low life does one have to be to steal stuff like that?

I have a theory that, besides being watched in the lot carrying a shower bag to the building, I wear a uniform which may raise attention inside the T/S.

I ALWAYS do a walk around when returning when my truck is out of my view for any length of time. I always catch this stuff right away so I know when/where it happened.

I share most of the peeves mentioned but I also don't like diesel spills at the pump not being cleaned up.

Theft isn't all that uncommon, depending on where you are. Usually small stuff, but still annoying. Sometimes bigger items. I remember when I was a rookie, fresh out of training. My trainer never warned me about theft, and just never thought of it, so I had my load locks bungeed to the cat walk (company was too cheap to buy locking holders.) Went in for a shower, and when I got back they were gone. Learned a lesson from that one.

The other big thing I noticed was when I was running a lot of border freight out of Laredo. Roll in, drop a trailer, Mexican driver hooks it and crossed the border. I've had them come back with every single light stripped off of them.

But what bugged me the most was the vandalism. On three seperate occasions I refused to give money to one of the scam artists that haunt the fuel islands saying "help me out I need some gas money" went in to get my receipt and came out to find my antennas snapped (this happened twice in Stony Ridge OH.)
