Whatever. You need to get a grip.

Also it is not the same, speeding in construction than the open road. Why do you think the fines are SO much more???? Duh Its more dangerous for all the workers out on the side of the road.

Middle of the desert or when there isn't much traffic. OH yea I'm gonna kill someone for sure. Your an idiot.

As far as the soccer mom goes. I got a question for ya. What do all the poor soccer moms do in states where the speed limit is 75. OMG those poor women.
Its called driving ahead, know your surroundings. I spend most of my speeding time in the hammer lane. So I don't have to bother with the cars and poor mini vans getting on the big road.

Also Super Trucker???? You guys are the ones jumping all over me. You jump me I'm gonna get froggy right back. No super trucker here

I didn't ask for your comments on speeding I asked about the jammer. To the one person that answered my question thank you. To anybody else with something smart to say kiss off
WHAT KIND OF FLOWERS WOULD YOU LIKE AT YOUR FUNERAL?????

You talk about how fast your truck is governed. I suggest you take a serious look at the "MAX SAFE SPEED RATING" of your EQUIPMENT. Tires are rated for only 69 to 70 mph. And if you're driving a company fleet truck, it may be only 65 mph. Company mechanics do make mistakes. Hopefully, not too many of them, but they are only human, after all. Any idea what it's like to have a front spindle-nut come off and have the steer tire roll under your fuel tank? Want a "ROLL-OVER" sensation? Or, how about the tandems come off the trailer coming toward you from the opposite lanes... Down into the median and hits something that makes it look like it's going to join the space shuttle. I hit the brakes on that one. I STOOD on them. The guy in the left lane, passing me, came over ahead of me just in time to be under them when they came back out of orbit. A pair of tires, brake drum, and center hub are heavy enough to come right through the roof, flatten the passenger's seat, and do a SERIOUS job of bending the floorboard down. Do you want to be right under it when it comes down? Or would you rather be able to stop before you get under it? At 65 mph, it's difficult enough to avoid something. At 77 mph, you have no chance to avoid it.

So, if you're going to run 77 mph down the highway, what color would you like the flowers?

P. S.

You've got "INSTANT ON" radar these days. It's been around for a few years now. Cops too, know what someone's reaction is when they turn on the radar gun. I know a few officers that will come up behind you in their plain wrapper, turn on the radar gun to see what your reaction is. Just touch the brakes or even slow down, and he's got PROBABLE CAUSE to pull you over and check you out. Hope your log book is up to date... And be ready to SMILE.

I don't condone speeding in anyway. Even though I have done it many times.

That being said there is something about "INSTANT ON" radar you are not looking at. In a one on one case "INSTANT ON" will catch the speeder. However, if there are cars ahead of you and the officer triggers the radar most radar detectors will see that transmission and you may or may not have time to react to that signal. It would come down to how good your radar detector is and how far ahead the officer triggered his unit.

Another fact about "radar jammers." Most of the "jammers" transmit a continues signal on the known radar frequencies. They then sweep those frequencies at a audio frequency that causes the radar to not lock up and display the speed. Where this concept did work in past years today's police radar unit have additional circuits that reject sweep frequencies and will only react to their own transmission.

Now days more and more police are using lidar (Laser). They are a lot better for several reasons. The biggest advantage is the smaller cone width. Meaning the laser detectors don't see the laser. The second one is they don't use the Doppler shift. They measure the distance between the unit and the target.

yea maybe you did it unintentionally but guess what you still did it..

how about the drivers....no wait.. steering wheel holders actually give someone a break instead of giving him nothing but crap cause he speeds. you all act like you have never done any thing wrong before.

guess what i got a truck that will do well over 80 i know i have done it on a few occasions but i dont recommend any one do it. but what i dont get is why every person who holds a steering wheel comes out of the wood work just to bash on a guy for makin money and doing this his/her way..

aint no one in this industry perfect... and if you show me 1 perfect driver i will show you a liar!

so any ways Mattangcobra. next time you run accorss the Ohio Pike or the Pa Pike hollar out for Boss Hogg and i will be glad to run down the road with ya!!

1: I haven't ever fuged a logbook...but I confess...Yes..I have fudged a logbook...for that extra 15 minutes that got me to a truckstop..consignee..or HOME for the night.

2: I am a "professional driver". When I am behind the wheel I drive the truck, it does not drive me. I watch traffic and adjust accordingly...so that I am able to react to the "steeringwheel holders" and the mistakes and problems they make. (There were 2 of those type right here in my area yesterday. Both on EB I-10, both had major accidents within 2 miles of each other.)

3; Guess what! I have a truck that will do over 85 mph. I don't know how much faster than 85 it will do, because I took my foot off the throttle at 85, but I was at 1600 rpm and still had 150 rpm before bumping the governer. I did that in west Texas on I-10...where the speed limit is 75.

4: So anyways...are you really ready to risk your career and life to go road racing with some kid who just got his CDL in the last year? Or are you one of those same kids??

5: Most radar jammers...radar detectors are "Illegal" in a CMV, in just about every state. Some of those states will impound your truck and lock you up, in their best jail accommodations, for just having one in your truck.

The give away to an LEO, that you may be guilty of something...you slow down right when you see him...the puff of exhaust when you hit the jakes...the dip of your headlights in the dark...the flash of your brake lights.

I've seen lot's of truck accidents along I-80.....In NJ, PA, OH, IL, IA, SD, WY, UT, NV and CA. Knock yourselves out and join that crowd. I will drive my truck professionally and avoid you both.

WOW thank you for actually standing up and admitting that your a guilty party in this life we call driving!!

as do i . i understand my truck, i know my truck. i knwo when i need to use my trucks speed and house power and i knwo when i need to just lay back and drive.

3; Guess what! I have a truck that will do over 85 mph. I don't know how much faster than 85 it will do, because I took my foot off the throttle at 85, but I was at 1600 rpm and still had 150 rpm before bumping the governer. I did that in west Texas on I-10...where the speed limit is 75.

i dont road race. i knwo when to put it down and i kwno when to just ride along. i do most of my driving at night when there is very minimal traffic on the highways.

nope sorry i am not one of those kids. 10 + years safe driving with no accidents and 1 ticket in my personal vehicle.

5: Most radar jammers...radar detectors are "Illegal" in an CMV, in just about every state. Some of those states will impound your truck and lock you up, in their best jail accommodations, for just having one in your truck.

I never said anything about useing a jammer or anything there abouts.. i use my CB and nothing else

The give away to an LEO, that you may be guilty of something...you slow down right when you see him...the puff of exhaust when you hit the jakes...the dip of your headlights in the dark...the flash of your brake lights.

i have 1 ticket on my record in the last 10 years.

I've seen lot's of truck accidents along I-80.....In NJ, PA, OH, IL, IA, SD, WY, UT, NV and CA. Knock yourselves out and gone that crowd. I will drive my truck professionally and avoid you both.
Yep i have seen a lot of those accident too, theres a difference between a driver who knows when and where to speed and some "kid" who thinks he can hammer down any time of day. i know the difference.
