Radar jammer

Can anyone show me in the little green book where its illegal to have a jammer in a big truck. I know radar detectors are illegal, But I can't find anything about the subject. I know several drivers that have them and swear by them.

There is nothing in the green book about "jammer." However, it is a violation under FCC rules and regulations. Since many states now enforce FCC rules and regulations your "jammer" could be cited.

As far as how effective a "jammer" is most have been shown to be of little help.

Radar Jammer

I love this topic!
First off, any device marketed as a "jammer" for a truck or car doesn't have enough radiated power to be effective against a speed measuring radar/laser the highway patrol/police use.
Second, most circuitry techniques to counter pulse-doppler are classified and can't be marketed to civilians.
Thirdly, locales using radar detector detectors will definitely be able to pick up a "jammer".
Finally, what's wrong with following the speed limit? BOL

Some drivers seem to think they need to drive like their truck can do light speed.

If you feel you need a radar "jammer", get out of trucking before you kill someone.

My trucks top speed is 68, so there's not a lot of places I have to worry about speeding anyway.

A CB radio will do better than a fuzz buster. I have folks in their cars pass me all the time, and I can see their radar detector in the windshield. In fact, I have caught up to a few of them them, only having a black n white parked behind them.

It's funny, that those highway patrol boys can turn on/turn off their radar anytime. All they have to do, is turn it on. By the time that fancy radar detector goes off, the disco lights are on. :P

The best away to avoid radar is to not speed.
Its a pretty basic concept and anyone that speeds and gets caught...gets what they deserve.

I had a rude message here but I changed it. Not worth the BS. Have a nice day

I've been saying for years now, that radar detectors are USELESS. When it goes "BEEP, BEEP, BEEP", you've been had. Your best defense against getting stopped is your CRUISE CONTROL, set to the posted speed. And, you know, when I do that, I don't even need the CB on and can have ALL my thoughts to myself.

Like the other guys said, the JAMMERS are there to seperate you from your money. The companies that make those things are playing a game. They make the radars for the cops, then make radar detectors for you, then make radar detectors detectors for the cops. I know a guy that got caught for speeding, then got an extra fine for having a jammer too. All you're doing is spending your money so that you can be releaved of even more money when you get stopped.

Radar detector with 'UNDETECTABLE K-12 CIRCUIT" costs $119 when you get caught in TN. My wife can tell you about that. She says... "GUESS WHAT... NOT UNDETECTABLE."

Well the STI Driver is undetectable. Time has proven this to be true. It did cost alot but well worth every penny.
For those that say beep beep beep your caught. You kinda got a point. Thats why I always have a front door or bear bait, which ever you want to call it. I let them get far enough in front of me that when they turn it on to get their speed. I have time to slow down.
