The problem is most of CAD is OTR drivers so you know they wanted him gone. He was just tellin it how it is. I wanted to go OTR i came here a long time ago and what CFM said stuck in my head. It is only true. But i guess some people cant handle that.

I realize he walked a fine line and even crossed it a few times. But I was surprised it was allowed to continue as you say for 20 months and then all of sudden he appears to be banned. This is what caught my attention:

Hey Snowman this is not the first time this has happened, The moderators some times get this high and mighty attitude towards people they disagree with. I had a few issues with the way Yoppr used to repsond to some post in the beginning and was asked if I wanted a shovel by another moderator, then the person who started the post asked for it to be locked down so no one else could post and low and behold they locked it stating that the original poster asked for a lock down, hence the reason I asked for a lock down just to see how quick they forget, their lack of response proved a lot. They could care less. I asked for opinions on the union and received only a few educated respones your's being one of them. the rest were just people with outspoken opinions which is not unusual in fact it is the norm.. (Human Nature)
I asked for a lock down moderators please do so...... Once again

Let me first say I'm sorry things got so off track between us on this thread. That was MY fault as I was trying to cover 4 or 5 different threads that "Jared" posted in as well as several PM's from other posters about the poster "Jared". Being in a rush ( yes, I do have a personal life too ), I got in a hurry. That is no excuse for the way I sounded and for that I am sorry.

Maybe you didn't see the other posts by "Jared". If you had, you would have known right away who he was. The fact that our postings happened in this thread has NO bearing about unions at all. It's an old topic that has come up many times and has always had a lot of debate ( some of which has been VERY heated ).

The last thing I want to touch on is this: Just because we ( the moderators ) have an opinion on a subject does NOT mean in any way that someone with a different opinion may be ban or thought less of. That is NOT the way this board works. I know there are many boards out there that work this way but this is NOT CAD's way of doing things. You and I can disagree all day long, but you will not be ban ( or warned ) for that, EVER!

CFM had been warned, and warned, and warned again. As per the TOS it was only temporary TILL he tried to by-pass the ban. ( Read the TOS in regards to this ).

All in all.... I have just come off a 12 hr shift. I have to sleep. I just want you to know where I'm coming from.

I see this message board as very fair and even handed. It also is quite lenient with allowing members to work opinions out amongst themselves.

The moderators do a great job here, and I don't think they ban someone without ample warnings, and good cause. They may edit abusive or offensive messages, but it should be noted, that the Administrators and Moderators know their message board and it's members, and discuss potential trouble-makers. They have a moderator backroom, where these issues are discussed, and where certain posts can be staged for review. Also, I do not believe they lock a thread at the request of the original poster. The original poster does not own the thread. If it is locked, it is in consideration of all, not one person.

A ban in most cases may be temporary. This is a chance for the offender to cool off, or stop the objectionable behavior, and be welcomed back, after a brief period. Some seem to need a time off. Our membership is a privilege, and only requires simple respect of the rules of the board.

In regards to CFM, I often thought he was arrogant, and insulting, with occasional valid points. In my opinion, he more often than not had little to say, and often repeated the same old insults and degradation over and over. Albeit, I am a live and let live sort, and chose to ignore him.
Maybe his message had value, and as an OTR'er myself, I saw his logic, and often agreed with the things of value he did offer.

The point has been made as many times also, that many of us OTR'ers would love a local job, but we do not have the opertunities, and certainly do not deserve to be insulted over and over.

I happen to live in an area, where job opportunities are at a premium. I am not moving to a major city, and about to give up my home, so I accept what I have...and I am proud to be a trucker and blessed to have work.

I don't have anything to offer this thread topic, but I have been enjoying the insights generated, and have been learning something here. I hope you continue to discuss.

I wasn't surprised Frosty was banned, just that he was banned after so long doing the same thing. I had come to accept it as Frosty being Frosty.

Your first come back caught me a little off guard considering part of the topic at the time was respect to other members. If we had a history of friendly sparring back and forth it would have been no big deal. Now that we do ... Kiss my $%$#@&!!! :lol: (YES IT"S A JOKE!)

Now as for Roadhog...When I saw you had posted in this thread I expected something funny to lighten the situation. Then I see something intelligent, insightful, calming and well thought out...wtf?
