I imagine the company will be getting a bill in the mail if that's true, hope I don't get a ticket!

OK, so I shoulda stood in bed... I knew it was going to be a bad night when I was having trouble staying awake on my way TO work....
I proceeded to back my van right into the front of a trailer that was next to my truck (too high to see in the mirrors of a mini-van!) totally taking out the back window and adding a little dent. After loading my stuff into the truck, hooking a trailer, did my pre-trip I took off. As soon as I hit the high side the trailer fell off! Apparently, the grease was sooo cold and sooo thick, the jaws didn't close all the way. Thank heavens it was an empty. After 30 minutes of cranking I hooked up, AGAIN (luckily, the hoses or pigtail didn't break) and had to push the jaws closed by hand. 2 hours down the road I pulled over and slept for 6 hours. I shoulda stood in bed.....

One thing I did when I wasa starting out OTR the Boss had me PU and bring an Empty 40 footer back to the yard for some repairs. I hook up do my pretrip everything is fine. I go over a set of RR tracks the WHOLE FREAKING LANDING GEAR COMES OFF. Turns out the plant that used the trailer for outside storage of whatever when needed had removed the NUTS only on the dolly legs. Unless you crawled into the frame of the trailer you would not have seen it.
