I am NOT insensitive to your situation. But, what has convinced you of this? Is HIS immunization that much different than WE received as children? I'm asking becuase I don't KNOW! I have no children, that know of me, and I'm not up on these things.
UNLESS there is something in the immunization of children today, that is ESSENTIALLY different from that of 20 years ago, it must be something ELSE!
Could it be the preservatives in the food your children were raised on?
I am VERY interested in this, because I am very concerned about preservatives in food, and what they may be doing to us, and because, of course.... I don't want ANY child to suffer the insidious ailment of Autism!
Please tell me WHAT you know about how his immunization could cause his autism, and WHY it hasn't affected MORE children.... unless you BUY the fact that one in 150 out there are now "autistic."
Otherwise.... it just MAY be possible that YOUR grandchild is one of a very FEW in this country that actually suffer this terrible "condition."
I will admit that this commercial SHOCKED me to the CORE! I have not had time to investigate it further.... but I will. If this is even REMOTELY accurate... we have a MAJOR problem on our hands.... as a society!
If, however, your grandson is just part of the statistical unfairness of our world, you have my EVERY sympathy and concern, and I pray for you the strength of Sampson!
As you may have noticed from my earlier posts, I am "concerned" about the introduction into our lives of drugs, preservatives and government studies! But, I come up just a bit short of blaming them for statistical abnormalities.
I suffer a few mental disorders myself, and have studied them extensively. I don't coddle myself over them, and refuse to medicate myself for them. Some of my problems are hereditary, and therefore date back to a time when we didn't HAVE all these "foreign" chemicals in our lives. Therefore, I find it difficult to believe that your grandchild's problem is due to some RECENT change in medical practices.
Of course, I could be WRONG! And I am open to discussion and learning. I'm SURE you have done more research than I, and ONLY something like what you state could support this recent claim that I have heard. At THIS time, I don't believe the claim. But, I would like to know more.
Again, please accept my sympathy and concern! Along with my healthy skepticism.
Just this week, I've heard that "studies" now say that you need a minimum of 6 cups of coffee a day to prevent SOME diesease or condition! Good thing.... since I've ALWAYS drank a pot of coffee daily when at home. I've also recently heard that MORE beer was good for you than just "one" drink a day! I don't know WHO or WHAT to believe anymore..... except that it reinforces my belief that I don't believe ANY studies!!
Again, I want to say that I think Autism is one of the WORST things a human can suffer! I may make jokes about obesity, or other things I think are a matter of PERSONAL responsibility.... but I would NEVER joke about Autism!
But, I DO NOT believe this current claim that 1 in 150 children actually HAVE autism (regardless of the diagnosis.) I did NOT mean for that statement to offend those whose family is suffering the REALITY of it!
