Getting mad at something helps.
Seriously...like pulling into a T/S late at night, and you can't find a place to park. Grrrrrrrr....good to go now. (I guess it's the adrenalin)

I keep a bag of peppermint candy handy. I don't know what it is about peppermint...but it perks me up...briefly...but it helps.

Another obvious is drinking water...having to pee will keep you worrying about that and not sleep...or finally...the "other obvious" cold air.

One trick I like most...is my iPod.
When I have to fight the ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ....I put my iPod on and play music. It's loud, and music I like best...so it helps me at least.

Any CIA torture technique is good too.
Loud BeeGee's music.
Stick your finger in the cig lighter.
A quick glance at a photo of Rosie O'Donnell in a Bikini. Gnaaaaa

I try to keep my eyes moving and try not to focus on just one thing so i dont "zone out" I constantly check myself and if I find my mind wandering and myself losing focus then I know its time to get out and take a walk or just shut down for the night

I'll stop somewhere and top off my fuel tanks or stop at a rest area and take a short brisk walk. Anything to get me out of the cab for a few minutes and breathe some fresh air. Yeah I know, the air's not that fresh at the pumps. LOL Helps to get the cobwebs out of my head. While driving I put the a/c on so it's cool or I roll down the window some and turn the tunes up. Drive safe everyone.

After trying about everything {legal} and almost not making it off the road once when the cafine wore off, I now pull off and sleep until I wake up, no alarm clock.
