When I drove for SMaX,I got my own room. Like everyone else said,it all depends on the company, and how they work, and uh,stuff. :P

SRT put two to a room. Unless the driver want to pay the full price for a room.

Well its not standard- to me its an indication of things to come....I get put in my own room everyday, even got a suite with a jacuzzi in it the other day, but that was just cause the others were all full. I guess its luck :P

Yup sure do.

If you want a one man room just say that you don't smoke and you want a smoke-free room. Trucker stereotype says %90 of drivers smoke so chance is you'll be the only one in class in a smoke-free room.

In my new contract with my carrier, they claim over 54% of truck drivers smoke, kinda scary

I quit smoking 1 month ago btw, but lets not congratulate me just yet!

Do what you can to get your own room..you may end up with someone who snores and that can make orientation even longer.

my opinion the newbies to the industry just out of driving school should have to share a room. the experienced drivers should have thier own room as part of being recruited. I had my own room when I went through orientation with the company I am currently with
