Get out and mountain bike over to Mt Elden trailhead, throw the bike on my back, and hike to the top until I reach the fire tower. Tear up the fire road on the way down.
Yeah except good luck trying to find a parking spot there after 10pm
Nice view of mt. Humphries though :P

Davis Truckstop in Virginia on I-95 is nice. I forget the town name but its at the 33 MM.

P and H in Vermont is nice also. They just redid the entire inside. Nice staff out there also. I always see the same people there but i guess where else is there to work in Wells River VT.

Where the slots are tight as hell since the remodel years back. They're going to ad on some more to that place in the near future, that means the slots aren't going to give up anything. Did you know that the mayor of Reno owns that place?

Awww that White's doesnt hold a candle to the Fuel City across the street

Another that at one time was good, was the Petro down at Fort Chiswell of I81 in Virginia. Since Flying J bought the location out, now you have 2 large Flying J's within 1 exit of each other. MM 80 and MM77

Also down in Tennessee, that Williams near White Pine was good, but now Piliot took that one over like just about every other indy down there, including the good ol 417 in Dandridge

Yoopr,
That's so true, park early or a big fat no go.
As far as Humphrey's Peak, I've spent a couple of cold nights up there as well. Let me tell you what a view that if, you can see right into Sunset Crater from there, and with a good set of binoc's you can see the Grand Canyon,Meteor Crater, and Flag looks absolutely inviting from up there at night. I like to sit in the mall in front of the big fireplace with a hot cop o' cocoa.
Can't wait to go back.
