River running RED...

I'm curious....
The folks that are into things like "PROPHESIES"... Your thoughts on the Yangtze River turning crimson red. Yangtze River turns red From a scientific point of view, with the recent earthquake activity, it is possible that a volcanic vent may have been opened, and volcanic chemicals (which are generally highly toxic) may have been released into the river. It would not be the first time this happened on our lifetime. I don't remember just where else it happened, but it was within the last fifty years. These chemicals are known to kill everything in the river, and I did not read anything about that in the article. The thought of "red tide" also crossed my mind, but that's generally an ocean event, and I don't see any "tidal effect" going that far up river. But, in the last week, China has had another earthquake. It is a notable event because the Yangtze River is the largest river in China (and would compare to the Mississippi in the USA, or the Amazon River in Brazil), and a lot of it's people depend on it for their living. If it poisons the river, the effect could be as hard on them as the drought in our mid-west this year. With the size of the river, it would mean a rather large vent and a lot of the chemicals. It does not say the source of the color, but it was a notable event in the days of Moses.

' And, some of the "activists" over there could be saying what would amount to..... "LET MY PEOPLE GO!!!". Ok. No, I'm not really making fun of it, but I am wondering just what's behind it.

Like I said... I'm suspecting, with another earthquake just before, it may be volcanic chemicals released into the river. They are very capable of turning the water red, but it's also my understanding that they're also very highly toxic. I've seen nothing about the Yangtze being poisoned from it.

Dunno know what kind of soil is in China as far as red clay and such but I know when we get a lot of rain the rivers around here can turn a reddish color further to the North. By the time it gets on down South it just looks a nasty brown color as runoff continuing to mix in changes it to a lighter color with lighter colored dirt flowing in. The soil further up is nothing but red clay, as you start moving down it changes over to an orange color before going to a brown.
