I am sorry it is $179.95 my bad, this is where I got it from. I do not own this site and it is not an advertisment for them. The guy that runs the site is/was a truck driver I believe and was very helpful.

I never had a dash cam, but I did have a camcorder, and it seems to me that when you look at the video, it looks like you're farther away than you actually are. But, if I was coming up on a grade where I would not make much headway, I'd back it down and wait to be able to pick up more speed to get around faster.

Course... My truck wasn't governed either. I never got it close to triple digits, but my wife had it up there.

My truck is goverened to 67/68, he with the hill I passed him in less than 3 minutes, which even PA will consider lawful. I love some truck drivers, I take 3 minutes to pass another truck and some jerk brake checks me and I get blamed. LOL the trucking industry is going down hill isn't it! Geez I expect this crap from stupid four wheelers, but not my brothers. 3 minutes is not unreasonable, and I maintained 60 plus MPH. I could also see your point if we were doing say 25 MPH. I should have expected as much I did put the videos up and put myself out there let's see your videos and I will critique them. Who else has the balls to post a video of their driving?

I don't claim to be a perfect driver by any means, but I consider myself a very safe driver.

The one thing I've always wanted, when a 4-wheeler gave me a brake check was a paintball gun. Never had one...

crb, maybe you should re-read what I said. Nowhere did I exonerate the Prius driver. The fool had a chance to get on down the road on the right. I didn't blame you for being brake checked either, just said I'd be a little peeved with you too.

You weren't making much headway at all pulling off the 3-4 mile pass that much is very obvious in the video. I don't pull out and pass unless I know I can complete it within a mile.

You can be a safe driver all you want going down the road but when you start putting yourself in situations like the Prius vid, your asking for trouble. You should look at it from both sides, not get all bent out of shape at a small critique. Sorry, can't post any vids because I don't run a dash cam.

if you get pissed over someone taking less than 3 minutes to pass maybe you and the compact car driver should seek a shrink. It takes more than 3 minutes many times for four wheelers to pass me.

The one thing I noticed that's missing from the camera setup you're running is an internal GPS device. That would then be able to show more information like: longitude/latitude, speed, direction of travel, etc. Speed is a biggie for having proof to show you weren't breaking the law when something happens. Other than that, I like that unit.

I have thought the same thing, but is something big happens like a fatal I am sure they can pull the speed somehow from the camera. GPS would be nice, but it keeps 12 plus hours plus of video. I like the flip screen so its easy to position the camera properly.

Pot meet kettle, you have gotten all bent out of shape over a small critique. Seriously, you should stop acting so pompous or self-righteous and review what may have led to the car doing what they did. I've pointed out what may have caused it and you don't like it.........just tryin to help but since you don't seem to want it...........

Maybe you should be a better, smarter, safer driver and let off the throttle so they can get out from beside you then. I do just that when I notice a 4 wheeler lounging around beside me, I get off the throttle and let them get out from beside me before they try something stupid. Even though it's their problem not yours, it's the wise thing to do.
