Haven't seen the video yet but... if it took you 3 minutes to pass another governed truck, and you were holding up faster traffic to gain nothing... and you did this during a HOLIDAY?
Yeah... I vote that you should park the truck.

Oh and its to safely pass using smith system as a guideline. I try to cut other vehicles off! If you don't mind cuting vehicles off so be it, take my hood off and will be captured on camera.

Oh and its to safely pass using smith system as a guideline. I try to cut other vehicles off! If you don't mind cuting vehicles off so be it, take my hood off and will be captured on camera. I never learned it. I think they teach what I've ALWAYS known and lived by. This is like shooting fish in a barrel... someone STOP ME! lol! I drive a 75mph truck. When I'm closing down on two trucks that have been in "elephant train" for the last few minutes, and JUST when I get there, the one behind jumps in front of me to do a "3-5 minute pass" when I could have been by them in less than 15 seconds.... you are DAMN RIGHT I am pizzed! YOU won't get to your destination more than 15 minutes faster! I can get there HOURS faster if not for aholes like YOU! Are you REALLY that stupid? WHEN I get to pass a truck, MOST of them "flash" me just inches off their bumper. I don't go for that. If I'm not being pressed by a long line of traffic behind me... which is almost NEVER... I get 2 or 3 trucklengths ahead of them before I move over.... THEN.... I flick my lights to say thank you for something I didn't even NEED for them to DO! Maybe, having never DRIVEN a fast truck.... you are in NO position to understand the pain you cause US with your petty little 3 mph drag races that result in nothing more than BOTH of you pulling into the next truckstop at the SAME TIME!

The Smith system is okay... except for the way SOME drivers interpret it.

The passing video. 2 minutes out there according to the time line shown. Video cams often make things appear further than they are but looking at the zipper you wouldn't have wanted to get any closer before pulling out. Once you got by only one other vehicle besides the idiot went by so you weren't holding back a line of traffic. Personally I don't like being out there that long but sometimes you have to go when there's a break in traffic. I'm usually the one in the right lane in those situations and I'll back off a bit to get you by quickly if there's traffic behind you.
