I will try to see things from your perspective. I have taken sides against you with the staff because of your current probation, and you are being scrutinized more, as it goes with that territory. I've said before I agree with this status, yet hope to see it resolved in your favor. This does largely have to do with political opinions, because that is where you direct most of your personal attacks.

I know you are not trying to make a case here against me and Twilight, so lets keep the record straight. I will try to make sure I am not so politically sided against you, that it is causing me to be unfair. I do like that you have sincere beliefs even if I don't agree with them, and I respect many of your opinions. It is nice to have someone who see's things differently, long as they don't feel they have to put someone on the defense and pick them apart in order to "win" anything.

Some say, well this is a truck website, and we should just knock off the political topics. Yet our lives and jobs are directly affected by politics. I stayed out of the political discussions for years, but what the progressives have been up to over the last year in particular has changed that. This is about the realities and frustration of what is going on right now, despite all the smoke and mirrors.

I along with millions of Americans feel sick and tired of condescending arrogant progressives who feel the need to tell us how stupid we are, and that we need to shut up and get out of the way. This claim we have nothing to offer, and that we are only obstructionists, is a lie and a cheap cop out. Hobo, you are going to pay for some of that emotion, if you side against conservatives right now, on a conservative message board. Unfortunately, politics has become volatile and extremely important to people right now. I consider myself a tea bagger, so if you wish to jab at me for that, go for it. I was a conservative democrat most of my life. Today, I have little regard for as many republicans as I do democrats, and I hope everyone currently in office gets voted out. Honestly, my beef is against progressives which ever side of the isle they are on.

TimberWolf saw himself as a victim here, but that was his little violin song. His personal attacks and his ongoing defiance to final meltdown is why he was banned. Other members may feel "run off" and that gets back to people are passionate about their political beliefs right now, and yes some may find themselves uncomfortable here. I feel uncomfortable as an American, and wonder what the hell is going on, and I want the truth.

I'm still proud we committed 100 million and our rescue/recovery resources, and our Red Cross. These a-hole politicians were willing to give 300 million taxpayer dollars to that kunt from Louisana, just for her vote. How about 60 billion taxpayer dollars to SEIU for their support on healthcare. issedoff:

There is a whole lot of dirty politics with this administration, and I do not trust them one bit with what is going on in Haiti...or this so-called temporary citizen status for Haitians living in the US.

 

I made a donation to The Salvation Army for use in Haiti. We do not need to run everything we do through Government like the Democrats want us to do. Unlike the Government, over 90% of every dollar donated to The Salvation Army goes to charity.

Timberwolf was “run off” because he got his hind end handed to him in political debates and instead of taking it like a man, he whined and cried about his hurt feelings because we were not as ‘enlightened’ as he was. He begged to get banned and when we would not accommodate his inability to think and act for himself, he went with making straight out nasty insults toward GMan, hoping that would force the ban. When GMan shrugged his shoulders and didn’t lower himself to Timberwolf’s level, he finally resorted to posting deviant sex crap, knowing we would then have no choice. It was a completely chicken**** thing to do and absolutely invalidated any argument he ever made on this board. And the funny thing is, of the liberals on this board, he was the one that I considered as having the most common sense, even if I did not agree with him. Boy, did I peg HIM wrong.

And finally, this is a conservative board, populated primarily by conservatives, a good many who are not shy in speaking their mind and having the brass eggs to stand fast on their convictions. So you are either going to have to learn to deal with it or head over to the Layover political board where you can be entertained by 3 of the most hateful liberals you will ever meet. Of course, they are the only 3 posters on that board, so you would likely never have to deal with conservative values again. You whining here on CAD about that vast difference in numbers between liberals and conservatives is akin to an atheist in a Catholic discussion group, wondering why no one believes as he does. In short, your views and your ideals, are not going to be the views and ideals of the majority of this board. If you choose to post them, expect to find serious resistance.

I'm glad we can help both with our military, public and private donations. After reading the thread I believe everyone made valid points but deep down I'm still glad we're doing what we are because these kinds of acts are what we should be doing instead of killing each other with stupid petty acts of violence.

I agree, but I question the government’s priorities right now. 10% unemployment and record job deficits in America? Why not contract out with builders and construction people in this country and send them down for the long process of helping clear and rebuild. That way, you’re putting tax-paying Americans to immediate work and helping Haiti at the same time. I’ve grown so f’ing tired of handouts…$100 million dollars tossed into a black hole. What do you honestly think is going to happen to that money? It’ll get used to rebuild the palace and then fatten up some island bank accounts. Nothing more.

You've obviously put more thought into this than I have. I'll agree with the whole paragraph above. Your right, the money that our government is sending will probably be allocated to just a few pockets, while the people starve.
