Your president has to know that is going to be the outcome. Or, as Hog said, is that what he’s counting on?

But let’s say they are freed and make it home alive. Mommee is absolutely right. They will be hailed as heros and then get right back into the fight, planning the next 9-11.

These guys exercised a military action, bombing American Civilian targets with planes. More than 3000 of your fellow Americans died. These roaches SHOULD be tried in a military tribunal as war criminals. They should face immediate execution after being found guilty. But no…let’s try them in the most corrupt judicial system in the world where they stand a very good chance of being freed.

And you don’t see a problem with that?
I am from Michigan and Dearborn, Michigan has the largest Muslim population in the United States. I know many Muslims that are appalled and do not condone the action of terrorists. These people don't hate Christians, but rather are peaceful people that are Muslim in belief. I believe that they represent the true hearts of the Muslim people... so I don't feel that they (the terrorists) would be viewed as heroes.

I do not support the death penalty under any circumstance. Eye for an eye is not my belief. So yes, I see a problem with that. They are being tried under criminal law, not civil law and I have faith in our judicial system.

Why then won't these Muslims stand up and denounce radical Islam and Shria law?

Maybe because, even in America, the Land of the Free, they are scared to death of their own people. How much more afraid do you think they would be in some Arab nation?

and if people don't think that some of these terrorists aren't already planning their next move, here is a link to a story that the abc affiliate did here. interesting reading.

Middle Eastern marriage scam in Westchester County? - 11/16/09 - New York News and Tri-State News - 7online.com

here are the first 2 paragraphs:

HARRISON, N.Y. (WABC) -- An Eyewitness News Investigation uncovered a possible marriage scam involving Middle Eastern men.
It happened in the months just before 9/11, perhaps as a way to gain legal status. It's a security risk that still exists today.

Men born in Pakistan, Egypt and Yemen traveled to a small town in Westchester County to get married. So easy it was then to get a license that some of the brides got married twice to different men.

and i believe it stopped after 9-11.

Then you yourself believe that the American court is probably the most just .. at least in a democracy in which we are privileged to live.

Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi was convicted.
i really don't believe the american court is the most just. it seems that if you have money and can afford the best lawyers, the chances of you not being convicted is good, in a criminal court.

I am not so cynical and believe in the separation of powers and the democracy. What I do grow weary of is the special interest and the lack of "for the good of humanity".

But more seriously..... When I was a state auditor, I was floored by all the lawsuits from the prison population. They are bogging down the court system. This really isn't something new.
