BTW, I have carried anything from 150 pounds up to 20,000 pounds in that little box. Also, for the record my weekly average of miles is higher driving expedited than it ever was driving 'regular' trucking and that was with the same company that did the wrong way thing.
I don't have a problem, you do! No one was hurt, no accident, he made a mistake and probably learned his lesson!! You started a poll and asked for opinions if you should drop a dime on him, I gave you mine and you don't like it... to bad!
Sense you brought it up "BTW" why did you go backwards in your career moving to a straight truck?
BTW I know a few dedicated drivers who drive for the same company you do and are having problems getting the miles, one of which is my ex wife who has a perfect work ethic and has always been a hard worker! So don't try to come back saying they don't want to work! They all say they sit between the BS loads waiting for the chance to make some money! That's the "just in time" business!!
BTW i never insinuated the driver at fault drove a straight truck, I was talking about you driving a straight truck! YES I saw your avatar pic!
My comment about control of what you could put in your own box was just that, you can control that, so don't worry about another driver making a mistake! You don't get paid to drive his truck, or for that matter being the savior of the road!!!
I'm sorry, your poll just hit me wrong. We are drivers, not dime droppers!! If you feel a driver has done something very unsafe to the public, and caused an accident you should be calling the law, not asking us for advice. You are a big boy and know right from wrong! Many people, cars trucks and motorcycles have done things the wrong way a time or two. By your own admission you said he corrected his mistake, maybe he inconvenienced a few drivers, or maybe you, who knows. It was a learning experience, so leave it alone!!
I hope you didn't take this post the wrong way again, its just how I feel. This industry is going to the crapper faster and faster every day, and people call the companies for the smallest stuff, and as you may know they only seem to want perfect robots these days, well no ones perfect. I hope you get the drift of my response to your post???
