Should I Report This or Let it Lie

Fredog,
The Loves Truck stop in Ormond Beach right next to Destination Daytona, requires that I have to go the wrong way through the fuel islands to deliver fuel, if a driver is not aware of what I am doing they may think I am going the wrong way and conclude I have no idea what the hell I am doing (somedays this is true). I have at least three stations I deliver to that require going out the wrong way as it is much safer then trying to back up in a crowded situation. The situation may not always be as it appears so anything short of life threating I keep to myself. The other day I was delivering at a Murphy station, a guy pulls up in his big Ram 2500 with his wife and two toddler daughters who were not seatbelted. he gets out of the truck while it is still running and starts to fuel while I am dropping less the 10 feet away. I motioned to his wife to turn the truck off and mouthed please. She did, he asked her why and she pointed to me, at this point he walks up on me bowed out wearing a shirt that said coach on it and he asked me what business it was of mine to have his wife shut off his vehicle. With out missing a beat I told him first off it is reguired by law to shut the motor off but more importantly seeing that your children are not seatbelted and moving from front to back seats, God forbid they knock the truck in gear and it jumps forward into my hoses that are dropping 10 gallons a second of fuel into a tank that already has 15,000 gallons in it, in short you're family as you know it now would cease to exsist, so to answer your question this is my business and my responsibility to you and your family not to mention every one else fueling up here, Do I need to say more?? The guy fueling next to him said out load "I think you just said a mouthful" and the coach quickly unbowed his body and went back to fueling his truck in a very submissive way, he wouldnt even look at me after that not to mention I think he felt a little embarassed in front of his family. So there are times I will open my mouth but I like to pick and choose my battles. timberwolf

Ok how about this situation,
Would you report it??? West bound I-4 The weigh station just east of Tampa, Saturday afternoon around 1pm traffic is fair to mid heavy as I come off the highway on the approach to the intial weigh sensors I noticed a Waploe truck slowly backing up on the interstate with the left side tires of the trailer and tractor about 1 foot in the slow lane, the guy was slowly backing and then stopping to let traffic pass, he repeats the move until more traffic rolls up on him, the ultimate goal in his mind is to back up the 1/4 mile or so to be able to pull into the weigh station as to not pass it up and risk a ticket for running the station. This is a brand new weigh station and is equiped with state of the art video equiptment every one who passes this section of highway not to mention the weigh station itself is on video. Would you report it to the DOT officer in the coop or the drivers company or let it be??? Timberwolf
