I did the same thing. I relinquished my Class "A" after an injury. Thought I wasn't going to drive again. Never say never. Roll with the punches keep working for what you want. It's tough getting up and running again but if your persistant it will happen. Good luck.

It is a strong wish for freebird, but personally I prefer anonymity. Maybe my tin foil hat it on too tight, maybe I just don't trust people online.

We can make it mandatory - it's technically not hard to do. Is this a strong wish around here?
Thanks for the input, Sharlie. I'm [in] favor of preserving people's anonymity also, so unless there's a strong demand for a feature that compromises it, I'm inclined to let the status quo stand. Make the *field* mandatory during the registration process, but leave it as open TO LIES, exaggerations and funny answers as it is NOW. [you can even give them a caveat explaining that they don't have to tell the truth.... just that they must fill in the BLANK.] I get a chuckle out of some of the "locations." MOST who join here will have figured out by now that they don't HAVE to tell the city and state... and some might not be able to think up something cool or funny. But, everyone (including current members) should be *required* to put something in the *field* so that we know whether they just MISSED IT... or don't want us to know. I'm sure freebird isn't advocating threatening a cattle prod if people don't give city and state... Sharlie can remain anonymous and unamused if she prefers. I'm sure all of you don't give your actual first and last names on every "online" registration. I sure don't! I am enrolled all over the internet(s) as Mr. Golf Hobo. Flip the switch, Clee!

Notice the location field is blank. On the other hand, look at the post by Dispatch. Look at the location field and re-read the post. I first thought "SPAM" but deleted my post cuz I can't be sure. If she's just promoting a [legal] service, there IS a forum here for that... right? And if so, she just made good use of the location field.

Thanks for the input, Hobo. Since making location field mandatory is unprecedented for any of the forum sites I manage, I'll wait for more input indicating a strong demand for the feature. I'm willing to flip the switch if there is such demand. In the meantime, I'm not super-inclined to make people fill out a field that, as you indicated, people can fill out deceptively for whatever reason.
