975. Would leave Niagara, Wi at midnight on Sunday and get to Maple Grove, Mn. about 6:30 a.m., be unloaded by 7:30 a.m., back in Niagara about 1:30-1:45, drop and hook and be back on road by 2:00-2:15 and back in Maple Grove by about 9 that night. Then I could sleep till 6 the next morning. Did that for about a month.

If it was legally possible to do, I'd say I went from Post Falls, ID to Beach, ND on a Saturday, then onward to South Beloit, IL on Sunday. But that wouldn't be legally possible so I won't say I did it.

This thread reads like the minutes of a meeting of The Society of Swollen Ankles.

I'll fess up. I once didn't drive from the Orlando, FL area to Rockford, IL in one shot. It wasn't like 1150 miles or so.

I also didn't drive from Green Bay, WI to Los Angeles in 48 hours.

And I certainly didn't drive from Green Bay, WI to Orlando, FL in 24 hours, because that would be illegal.

That would likely not happen today, repete. Today, they would probably take you to jail to post bond.

Did a round from Brokaw, WI to Lancaster, NH, drop n hook, and back to Brokaw. Only did that one once, but another driver that was doing that for about 3 years is now in a nursing home, the result of a stroke.

Most of us that have been around a while have done things, but keep them up and they will catch up with you.
