Let the Big 3 go bankrupt !!!

In terms of the overall market, it isn't just a big 3 problem . .
http://www.whittierdailynews.com/news/ci_11028427 I say no to the bailout.

The unions have the biggest thing to do with it. Don't get me wrong - if I had the chance to get a nice cushy union job at a car manufacturer for $30+ per hour and incredible benefits, I'd dive on it in a heartbeat.

I have contributed to the problem, when I delivered machinery from Detroit to Laredo. Have heard that if they wanted to bring machinery from mexico to the USA, mexico would not let them...
Someone told Bozo on the radio, that the 'big 3' employ more people in mexico, than in the USA. Why don't they ask mexico, for a hand out?

I've always believed in buying American when it comes to 4 wheelers. (and most other things)
Sure, most of our newer domestic cars have foreign parts in them, even the engines in some cases. I still feel that buying an American product benefits our country in the long run. I've never owned an import vehicle, never will. If the big 3 go down, it will have major effects on our economy, and the world economy as well. Things will be worse than what they are now. I'm on the fence as to whether the government should help them out, but I think its in our best interest to help them out during this tough time. I wouldn't mind my taxes going up a little to help out. I know, their unions and their wages are out of this world, but we need to stay competetive in the auto market.

And, again, what's gonna happen 3 months down the road when the economy is still in the crapper and the consumers still aren't buying new cars? Another bail-out? Why not just transfer the payroll department of the "big 3" to the US treasury?

It is a shame that so many Americans want to see the big 3 go under.
Give me a break here. These execs all flew private company jets to DC in order to ask for a handout. They spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to get there. Why couldn't they have drove a fuel efficient car, or flew coach, or at the very least traveled together in one private plane instead of going separately? Nothing like driving up to the welfare office in a brand new Rolls Royce wearing a new custom Brioni suit to apply for food stamps.

The profits may go to an American company but those American company's are not creating jobs for Americans. The big 3 are creating jobs for other country's and not for the US.
Honda built a new plant in Indiana, Toyota is building a new plant in Mississippi and Hyundai is building a plant in Alabama. Were are the new jobs that the big 3 have created here in the US.

I own 3domestics and all i will ever buy will be domestics. I have a 2004 f-350 with a powerstroke 51,000miles only been back 1 time for a egr thing. Other then that the truck been great. I also own a 1993 Buick (beater) with 71,000miles on it and it runs great as well. I also own a harley. I always had good luck with fords.
It is a shame that so many Americans want to see the big 3 go under. Millions of jobs will be lost. And they don't even care. What is happing to the USA. I will never own a import car i think it is very UN-American to buy UN-American cars. I know ford has turn their car line around. Ford is better now then it has ever been. Thats when they came out with the new saying. Driven a Ford lately??? Ford will always have the best selling pickups. None of the imports could ever build a truck better then the big 3. Anyway as you all can tell i support the bailout 100%. GM is the 1st to go and Mopar 2nd and ford last. Thats what i read in the paper today. Please take a min. and look at this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rfM4...eature=related That Pontiac was a 1956. Those reliable Fords were 1979 and earlier. Easily repaired without the aid of a computer. Today, their electronics is no more reliable than anyone else's. Today, you can be going down the road and suddenly, your engine dies. Nothing wrong with the engine or wiring, but one of the SENSORS took a crap. Plugs for electrical connections are being made far more inferior, and the "design for minimum" creates problems of it's own by eliminating the "SAFETY FACTOR" formally built into the equipment and components. Not many of the "INNOVATIONS" are real advantages.

I'm not an idiot, but what would happen if the government didn't bail them out?
