Sirius/XM

Actually, the Playboy channel seems to be nothing more than a bunch of PB women talking. Not what I was expecting...

I have an XM subscription in my personal truck. I was noticing today that my categories are different now, too. I can still get the news channels that I listen to, I haven't checked for Squizz but they have broken down the "urban" category and there is a "hip hop" category. I know that probably nobody else cares but I was happy about that. Now, I'll have to choose between foxnews and this new, decent hip hop channel I found (Shade 45). Unfortunately, they curse a lot on it so I can't listen to it with the kids in the car. No biggie, really, because when the kids are riding, it's Disney (yuck) or XM kids anyway (Better than Disney). If I have to listen to David Archuleta sing anything else, I'll be picking chunks out of my shoestrings.

I've been disappointed with the XM music selection, too. That's why I was just listening to the news mostly. When I got it, I figured it would be much better than it turned out to be.

Shade 45 is a cRAP channel.
I always thought it was pronounced as, "Serious". That's how I pronounce it.

I have Sirius in the truck and XM at home thru Direct TV. Just last night they messed with some channels took buzzsaw (Sirius) away until after the new year put on the boneyard (XM) which is now acdc radio until after the new year so we are short 1 classic rock station. sirius had the vault and xm has deep tracks the vault was better. all in all i like Sirius much better im not gonna waste money for the best of XM. the only thing i want from XM is baseball thats my 2 cents have a safe day BJS

Didn't they pull XM off DirectTV in the process?
I actually only listen to a couple of channels: 202 (95%) and 171 (5%).

And that's the day.............the music died. At least for Belpre. I was sitting in my truck filling out paperwork at midnight. The receiver went in to update mode, and has never returned. All I have now is the Sirius logo. I called Sirius today, they attempted to "hit" the receiver, no luck. They suggested that I purchase a new receiver. Huh? Now I'm really pissed. I'm repeating myself, I know. But, to you XMers coming over to Sirius or Sirius/XM or whatever the hell they call it. Be very careful with Sirius customer service and access to any debit/credit card numbers that you have on file with them. They are definitely less than forthcoming and straightforward. A couple of examples from my end: 1. A year ago I extended my primary receiver (1 of 3 active) for 2 years. I was told that my debit card would be billed in two installments, one immediately and one the next month. Bingo! You already guessed it. Next day the total due (200.00 something) gone from my bank account. 2. Watch your USPS mail very closely for correspondence from Sirius. I received what look like nothing more than a new channel listing/advertisement from Sirius a few months ago. Upon closer examination, this was actually a notice advising me that unless I directed them otherwise, that my (3) subscriptions would automatically be renewed and billed to me. That was enough for me. Rather than argue with them, I called the bank, cancelled that debit card and received a new one with new numbers. Maybe the rest of you haven't had these problems, and I am just on a bad run with these folks. My intuition, however, is telling me otherwise.
