I was wanting to ask yall, what do yall think about the merger? Meaning, for those that have Sirius, have yall bought the "Best of XM" package? Wonder if it's worth getting..

I have noticed some new channels on Sirius. For one, Led Zeppelin on Sirius 12. Wow, Led Zeppelin all the time. :clap:

What I was wondering, how do yall like what they've done with the merger, etc? Is it worth getting "Best of XM"? I think, the only reason for me to get it, is for the sports. It's costs, $4. and something extra a month? Not bad at all.

I'm just keeping both services,I listen to too many shows that are on at the same time so I need my Inno for XM to be able to record one while I listen to the others. I also like the pause feature on my Sirius radio and don't want to do without it either......

As far as I know baseball is not offered on the best of XM package so I would need the XM for that anyway.

XM got rid of Squizz and that would have been the only reason I would have subbed to them..

My buddy has the best of package on the xm end, he seems to think its worth it. I personally won't get the best of xm though, but I don't care for sports or talk radio much.

I have XM and added the Best of Sirius package. I've listened to the Playboy channel and Howard for maybe 15 minutes in the past month (combined).

Sirius was updating to the new channel selection when I parked the truck last night at midnight. I talked to the day driver this evening, he told me that our Sirius receiver is no longer working. Bad, going to worse is now my opinion. They want extra $$$ for a few XM channels? Oprah, Golf, IRL???? I tried do the upgrade to listen to O&A (as I posted yesterday on another thread) and my receiver is not compatible with the Best of XM. Who would have thought? Be very leery of Sirius customer service, they have no qualms with slamming extra charges to your debit/credit card. Watch out! This merger was touted by Sirius/XM management, namely Mel Karmazin as a way to provide the listeners with more bang for the buck, Apparently many were very skeptical, hence the amount of time that it took for the merger to be approved. Sirius stock closed at 25 cents today. I suggest a peek over at sternfannetwork.com. There are some folks over there that really seem to have an honest take on what is really going on with the Sirius/XM fiasco. Contrary to what you might think, do to the name of the website, you will find that these folks on this board are more critical of Howard Stern and the whole Sirius/XM debacle than any other source that I have found. Check it out. I think that you might be pleasantly surprised at the objectivity.

They said today was the first day of the combined/consolodated programming..... The DJ's are jabbering too much between each song.....

They got rid of Squizz and Lucy along with the majority of the channels I used to listen too... I'll still be keeping my XM sub, but it will take a while to get used to it all..

Yeah, the only reason why I would get "Best of XM" would be for the bowl games. They say they cover all the major conferences.

I've noticed some newer channels on Sirius.

Malaki, how do you listen to Playboy Channel? Do you use your imagination or what?
