ya it was looking at the coast and saying i think i can, i thing i can, but when it came down to it it wussed out.
took a load (water) to streveport last night. it is starting to rain and the wind is picking up now in alexandria, la. looks like we will be here for the night. will head back down in the morning.

I made it as far as Linden, TX on US-59 before I ran out of hours. The local weather is saying that the rain is supposed to start any time now and be heavy all night. Flash flood warnings, tornado warnings, tropical storm warnings - YAY!!!
Other than that, I've only driven in cloudy weather today.

Yes...It's called "Travel to Safe Haven" You write it on your log page, where you run out of hours, and the incident that you are getting away from. In Mal's case he would note "Hurricane Gustav". Nobody would say a word. Gus is projected now to be heading for the Texarkana area.
