I know you say you are an Obama fan, but judging from reading some of your posts, you are one of those people that hold conservative values and just don't know it.

My question:

What are 3 things of SUBSTANCE that Barack Obama stands for, that you agree with, that have convinced you that Obama should be the next commander-in-chief?

The big 3 things that I agree with it is the economy, health care, and creating new AMERICAN jobs. The republicans namely George W Bush have done enough damage to this country!

 

On that note, please name three things that Barack Obama has proposed doing to help in those categories.

Health Care-Universal health care

Jobs-Alternate fuel sources such as Biofuels

 

Raise taxes. Please explain how raising taxes is ever a good thing.

Please explain how universal health care will succeed in the US, when it is a dismal failure in every other country that has it.

Please explain why the current biofuels on the market cost as much as regular fuel.

Raising taxes is a good thing cause it'll get us out debt but it's a bad thing cause it raises the price of goods.

I don't know anything about the Universal health care to be honest with ya, I never looked into it yet.

Supposely biofuels is made from petroleum so that is one the reasons why it's expensive but also got to add in the cost to refine it as well.

Raising taxes...ruins economy it will not help it at all. The best way to help alleviate the debt our government has incurred would be to lower taxes, allowing the people to spend more of their money, this will drive up the economy, LOWERING taxes improves economy.
Obama wants to raise taxes especially for the "rich folk" making over 250K possibly up to 50% and pass this tax to the lower income people. This is called "wealth redistribution"...aka...robbing from the wealthy. It can also be related to socialism and borderline Marxism. Effectively telling "The People" that it is bad to succeed. Also keep in mind 250k is not necessarily a lot of money, depending on the cost of living for the area of the country you live in. 250k doesnt go as far in NYC as it would in rural Illinois. In other words taking from the "rich" that live in NYC would hurt them more that taking the equivalent from the "rich" that live in rural Illinois.

Oh...regarding "Universal Health Care" The government has already proven over and again, that they will screw up anything they put their stinkin' hands into, to manage. They will screw it up!! Oh and BTW....I have no interest in paying for another's health care through some Universal system.
The best way to help our ailing health care system is to encourage competition amongst the health care providers. This is called "capitalism". If Private organizations are encouraged to compete, prices are lowered and economy goes up.
Why is this simple principle so hard for Libs to understand????
