Late night adventures on unkown roads are ALWAYS fun

Yes, but I'd like to have a mty trailer in one piece-- and before dawn.

US62 through Eureka Springs is a two lane goat trail-- with switchback city-- hair pin curves where a 53' trailer comes all the way around and kisses your arss, and hill pulls( of course he's emty) but that's not the point.

Ar23 from Ozark to Fayetteville is a bigger adventure-- but I wouldn't recommend it either.. ahhh and the old US71-- wasn't those the days!

Can't say I ever had a call to try that route-- but I did get the "bright" idea of taking a "short cut" and avoiding the Winston-Salem/ Greensboro evening rush hour traffic-- by cutting through the woods between Mt. Airy to Danville,Va by taking NC89-NC704-NC770- NC87- NC700- US29N

That was enough of seeing the NC country side for me.

did lovers leap and did 64 through lake lure from ruth to hendersonville, wanna see a road that will leave you saying some colorful words, thats the one, lol. also, whats that road you have to take to get to big island, va to gp? is it 501, you should try that one also, lol. I can think of plenty of road as bad as or worse than 58 fron stuarts draft to i-77 but you are right, i made the mistake of using it once and will never make that mistake again.

Yeah at the time 58 seemed a good shortcut to get over to 77, looked descent on the map, but damn that map can be deceiving!

Yeah I found a place to park, after driving around the lot for 15 minutes. It's one of those places I don't usually stop because of customer locations and such. I usually stop up at exit 77.

Today was a long ass day. I swapped out near Columbus,OH and tonight I'm at Jim's truck stop in Buffalo, NY and will deliver in the morning then go home, but not until after I stop at the TA and get some tires repaired. I notice a soft drive tire and found a bolt in the tire. I threw some air in it and was going to plug it when I got home. But now I found a trailer tire with the bead broke. It was fine when I swapped out so I don't know what the deal is. I'll just get both tires fixed on my way home tomorrow. I'm going to end up getting home a day late but will actually end up with 1000 more miles than the way I was originally set up to get home. I can deal with that. 8) 8)
