This story, which I posted, has absolutely NOTHING to do with hitting on Swift. I pointed that out because I knew folks would be curious and might know some of their drivers.
My point in posting this was it was a very sad story that impacted people's lives...someone is not going home today and the company, the driver of the truck, and the victim's family all had a loss that will take time to recover from...they may never.
I originally posted this on the forum for new drivers because whatever the case, the driver wasn't driving for conditions. Here in San Diego we get very little rain and the roads are super slick when it first rains. No load and no company is worth losing a life over. Regardless of what you think, it's a sad day and shows what can happen if you don't value and respect the weight and power of what you drive.
Keep YOUR wheels turning safely...

Then why put the company name in the title? This would be like reporting that color the driver was... The company was irrelevant to the story.

We all know ( except one of us) why you posted it, it wasnt a dig on Swift you merely pointed out what company it was.. most people ask when they see a truck wreck, what company was it? dont pay any attention to Fozzy, he just likes to argue

Trout - or whichever fish Fozzy is claiming - can't seem to stop defending Swift and loses sight of the whole story.
Look back in all the replies to this post and you'll see that you're the one mentioning Swift the most... Fredog is right but you don't see it.
AGAIN, sad day...a driver, regardless of company truck driven, died in that truck. Stop being so defensive and recognize that NO company should participate in a practice that puts lives at risk - no matter who else is doing it! Didn't your mama ever tell you two wrongs don't make a right? :?

So what you're saying is that this isn't about Swift.. but its all about what swift does? I get it now.. I agreed with Fredog for the points. I disagree that this is a Swift article, had this been Schneider.. what would the complaint then be?

Boy are you obtuse...!
I posted this article because a truck driver died yesterday. Now, most people would want to offer up a prayer for the driver and his family and hope that someone would learn from the tragedy...not you though. Somehow you've come out with a sword lifted over your head, waving it around at an invisible foe. :?
Get a grip! It wouldn't have mattered what company it was, a tragedy is a tragedy.

Do we even know if the passenger was sleeping? He could have just gotten up for a minute. But I do know for a fact some companys do run trainer/trainee as a team! Been there, Done that. Don't know anything about Swift though. Just pray for the familys.
