Yeah, but they always like it when you cant do anything about it. ops:

I will be around More, after I had posted on this thread and the brew war, I had to take a nap.. The pain is wearing me out..I am fighting it, and it just makes me tired.. I slept from 5'30 to now, got up made me some coffe and tea, grabbed a pain pill, and here I am.. I am also down loading a movie to watch to keep my mind preocupied..

Thankyou momme, for replying to this thread, you don't know what it meant to me.. I don't know if it is the medication or what, but it was touching to me..

When I was comming out of the anestisia, there was a good looking nurse. I thought she was my wife, and was trying to carress her face.. When she pulled away, I realy thought it was my wife and tried again. I think I scared her, then I realixed it wasn't and apologized she said it was ok, it happens all the time..
My wife then told me, I was realy laying it on thick with her sister. Gotta keep it in the famly I guess.

Glad you were so emotional over my reply.  Anytime Slimland.
Thank you again.

You must be a pretty big guy, 300lbs. I am small she probly could have sit on me, and that would have been the end of it.

Yeah 6-6 and 350 legs like a Lineman in the NFL arms like an Arm wrestler and when I am coming out of anesthesa or a seizure my body is on FIGHT big time. One night I took out the entire on duty Paramedic stadff for the town I was living in with injuries after a seizure they got stupid and tried to hold me down. One broken are 3 sets of busted ribs later they found out why you do not do that later.

See, Slim..... THAT is why you must get off those pain meds!! They lead to more DANGEROUS drug abuse like drinking engine degreaser and chemtool!! [How ELSE would you know what they TASTE like??]

I am glad to hear that you HAD the surgery (finally,) and that it went well! Now, we can only HOPE that the final outcome will be in that 50% BETTER range! Don't mean to burst your bubble..... but, only time will tell.

Sorry to hear about your "buddy," but..... it sounds like you made a new "friend!" (the nurse)

Don't worry about the financial aspect. The ONLY way you would EVER get out of your temporary setback, is to get healthy and go back to work. Money is just a method of "exchanging" services. You had no choice but to get this service. Everyone ELSE will just have to WAIT!

I told you not to "worry" about the surgery. God will take care of it. Now.... don't worry about the bills. God will provide. Worrying about it won't pay a SINGLE bill!!! YOU are doing all that YOU can to improve the situation. It is a proven fact that a positive mental attitude is the BEST healer! Having done YOUR best.... leave the REST in HIS hands.

What I know of you, Slim, tells me that you are NOT a selfish person. You care more about OTHERS than yourself. It is time for you to think about YOU! You are the one who is in need at the moment. Your kids' problems can WAIT. The bills can Wait! Your WIFE can wait!

Worrying about things will NOT resolve them! Things have a way of working out, whether we WORRY about them or not! In fact.... they resolve themselves more easily when we do NOT worry about them!

Believe it or not.... constantly worrying about and obsessing on your NEED for the narcotic pain relievers COULD increase the odds of any dependence ON them! Trust the doctors, and take them AS PRESCRIBED! The better chance you give them to keep you mentally "balanced," the easier it will be to recover from the surgery AND to leave them behind! It is important to have a GOAL of being drug free when this is all over, but it is easier if you just take them and don't think about them.

Listen carefully now. Even "IF" there was NO God.... I have found that those who BELIEVE in Him, prove the philosophy that he takes care of His own! They live a quieter, more peaceful life! (Isn't that what you were asking for??) And if He exists, then how could he care MORE for the sparrow than for his own child?? Sparrows may die from impact with big trucks, but they do NOT starve to death nor go without shelter! i.e: Their BILLS get "paid!"

And ONE more thing..... to DOUBT his ability or willingness to provide for you, is to commit the sin of putting YOUR "ego" on the throne of your life! To think that YOU can solve all your problems by worrying about them, or struggling to prove YOU can "fix" them, is to deny HIM his glory!
If you COULD do all that, you would not need him! Yet... you KNOW you do! Like all of us... GOD has a JOB! Unless you think YOU can do it better.... I suggest you sit back and relax and LET Him do it!

I don't know all the scriptures, and don't CARE to. I certainly can't CITE them as you do. But, I KNOW what God has said and promised.... and I know that HE will be "faithful" to those who do the same! Reading your posts, is like reading your "faith meter." I can tell when you "stray." I applaud your honesty, but it betrays your "ego." Right now, you are struggling a bit for control over your situation. You KNOW what you need to do! SOME have worded it as: "Let GO and let GOD."

He has a PLAN for your life, Slim! You are not supposed to understand it all. You are to BELIEVE it, and SURRENDER to it. From what little I know of your past, I don't suppose HE can do worse! I guess what I am saying is.... Get OUT of His way!

Now.... is THAT enough "preaching" for you? (and Rebel, who thinks I preach with every post?)

I KNOW you'll be FINE, Slim! It just takes TIME, and you sound like you have as little patience as ME!

Hobo

Slim I'm glad to hear everything went fine. You best behave yourself and do everything the doctor tells you to. Other wise you will pay for it later . Where I'm working at the moment is a Surgery Center and I see several people each day in recovery. I remember one day we had a man that was acting just as you did ... the nurse's LOVED it ... so don't feel bad about it. They would much rather have someone like you compared to the people who wake up angery and crying. I've seen nurses cussed out and disrespected all due to the medican in thier system, so dear one . . . you showing affection probably made their day.

Point taken and compleetly understood, made sense. Never thought of it that way.. I guess the reason I had is, I have been on them so long and have had to switch so much because of my body building the tolerance to them.. I just have enough things in my life that are persestantly nagging in the back of my mind, and didn't realy want this also.. But I do see what you are saying, and I will take your advice..

If you COULD do all that, you would not need him! Yet... you KNOW you do! Like all of us... GOD has a JOB! Unless you think YOU can do it better.... I suggest you sit back and relax and LET Him do it!
This has been a point in alot of my threads telling others,, It is kinda neet seeing it done to me. Even we who know need to be reminded, thankyou again.

Right now, you are struggling a bit for control over your situation. You KNOW what you need to do! SOME have worded it as: "Let GO and let GOD."
Right on the money again, it is my nature, and my flesh.. But I have friends like you and others that remind me of who I am.. again thank you and I will rest in His Grace.

I could say the same to you, but I think you just might be getting the picture.
Now.... is THAT enough "preaching" for you? (and Rebel, who thinks I preach with every post?) Laughing
You are just doing what you where called to do, and refuse to do it.. But cant stop doing it, cause it is instilled in you. So it is not you, but God in you. :?
I KNOW you'll be FINE, Slim! It just takes TIME, and you sound like you have as little patience as ME! Wink
This is where we know that it does take one to know one, and you my friend are one.

Thankyou my friend.

Thank you Roses I would like to think I had made her day, I know she was a sight to see when I woke up..

I realy did think it was my wife, and when she had pulled away, that just made me think it was more so.. My wife does that she pulls away.. For the first year we were married I took offense to it, but now I know it is just the way she is, and of course I don't stop, cause she don't want me to.. I think that scared the poor lady.
