- Are you planning to watch? Is it worth your time? I will likely watch if I get done working early enough, if only to see Dick Cheney and listen to "W" stammer and butcher the English language. Always good for a quick laugh. - What do you think the main subjects will be? Iraq, Iran and his "health care plan" and all three scare the living daylights outta me. - What do you think the new candidates will be listening for, so they can use it in their own campaigns, republicans included? Iraq, Iran and his "health care plan"

It's no wonder Bush has one of the lowest favorable ratings in history. The media is leading the blind and willing by the nose. We are at war with vermin, who are cowards and animals. They don't wear uniforms, and they blend in to the communities which makes things harder for our fighting men to do there job while trying to keep innocent civilians safe. Should we pack up and run? Should we lay in the corner and piss all over ourselves? Heck know, let's smoke these 8@#?@&%$!! Also, for the most part we have a great economy, but you won't hear that from the media now will ya! All you hear is, he's a cowboy, he's hard headed, he doesn't listen, he's stupid, blah, blah, blah! We are at war and he is our President people! He is a good man doing what he thinks is right and doing what he feels is best for our great country. Thank God, he doesn't listen to the media and care what the polls say. It's refreshing to have a President that doesn't lick his finger to see which way the wind is blowing to help him decide which way to go when it comes to the decisions that he needs to make. He ain't perfect...but he's our President!

Excellent point, TCT. People just don't do the homework. They say they're "independent", but they pick a team and parrot whatever they say.
I listen to CSPAN an awful lot and then tune in CNN and Fox to see how they cover it. Pretty enlightening.

Ok, I just got back from watching the State Of The Union.
Here's what I thought: - Our government, though not for the first time, is definately divided. - I did not really enjoy the political remarks and statements. I don't like politics that much. - I particularly enjoyed his closing remarks, when he talked about the nature of our country's people: a courageous, fearless, innovative people. He used four examples, and he pointed out four people in the audience that he invited especially, who were not politicians. A man that came from Africa to study medicine, and instead ended up playing in the NBA A woman who started making music videos for her kids in her basement, who later created the company Baby Einstein. Later, she sold her company to Disney Company for $200,000,000 A black man who just a few days ago, in New York, was stading in a train station, and saw another man fall on the tracks. With the train approaching, he jumped, grabbed the fallen man, and both of them hid at the side of the tracks, as the train passed them overhead. (oh, what an ovation he received from the audience tonight - you could feel the kindness of his soul radiate on his face) A soldier who used his body as a shield, to protect his fellow soldiers, while under attack in Iraq. "This is America" Bush continued, "this is the kind of people our country is made of". To me, the ending was the best part of his speech. He clearly avoided many issues that are unresolved still, but he is not the first president who has unresolved issues under his term. What did you think?

Meld this Country with Canada and Mexico and most of the working groups and plans would actually be under the UN. As far as his war plans we cannot win. Iraq is in a civil war now (which before we went in I knew this would happen) and going into Iran is insane. Ron Paul thinks we will escalate the war because we are sending more carriers over and the democrats and representatives are calling for re-deployment not bringing our troops home Goin Fer It's Wife |
