you mean like when they have original ideas like film festivals? I have heard people call howards show and say they like o & a better, howard let them talk. anyway, this conversation is dumb. why dont we both just lsiten to what we like and forget about arguing.

One show is entertaining,informative gets you thinking,mad,offended,happy,genuinely stimulated,mentally and sometimes physically, it's a true innovation in entertainment that is "the" original.

The other is none of the above.

Free FM's rating did fall for the Fall 2006 and so did O&A's but they did not fall to David Lee Roth's numbers.

(12+) 1.6 - down from a 2.2 in the summer.

(persons 25-54) 2.4 - down from 3.1 in the summer.

(18-34) 3.1 - down from 4.1 in the summer.

(men 25-54) 3.9 - down from 5.0 in the summer.

David Lee Roths number were in the 1's across the board during his entire broadcasting career. O&A do not represent the intire arbitron numbers at Free FM, there are 15 other on air personality's at Free FM.

Then we could bring up the fact that O&A's biggest group of followers and die hard listeners live in New York and they all are listening to O&A on XM. Typical Howie math, know the facts before you post garbage.

But this is old news. The ratings were released on January 9th, has been talked about and dicussed on several other message boards.

I'm just posting the truth.

 

So, let me see if I've got this - the ratings of the entire radio station apply when you are talking about Roth, but they don't apply when you are talking about O&A. :roll:


Let's look at the current numbers for Free FM in NY, shall we?

WFNY-FM Talk/Personality

Winter 06 - 1.1
Spring 06 - 1.4
Summer 06 - 1.3
Fall 06 - 1.2

So, before they were on the air, the station had a 1.1 share. They came to FREE FM in April of 06, and the rating went up to a 1.4 share. Since then, they have almost gone down to Roth numers. :lol:

They obviously had an impact when they first arrived, as the numbers show (a 0.3 share increase), and since then, they have almost lost it all.

In fact, there are 21 stations in NY with better Arbitron ratings than FREE FM. :lol:

The funniest part is that the station as a whole had a 7.9 share when Stern left (he had a 13.8 share for just his show). Now, they have a dismal 1.2 share. :lol:

Wrong....... O&A's ratings are not lower than David Lee Roth's.
