I'm with Yoopr. I can't believe this thread is still going.....
But, since we're still swapping lies  There was one trip when I made 600 miles in just under an hour. That was in an F-111. We left the Kennedy and one hour later, I was getting out on the ground.

I revive this thread yet again
I had my kenworth somewhere over 100 when my wife called me recently while I was in cheyenne telling me one of our newborns was in the hospital with a respitory problem, I think the tires on my skateboard came off the ground whenever I hit a big pothole on I25.

955 mph is, obviously, bs.
However, in the "old" days, when I used to drive through Texas on a regular basis, and the road between El Paso and San Antonio on I-10 was and is about 500 miles, we used to "let-er-go". There is NOTHING out there between the two cities, at least nothing to get excited about. The troopers didn't bother with us, we would run "convoys" of 5, 6, 7, 8, however many trucks we could get together. One time, in Texas, on I-10, however, I REALLY let-er-go. There is a mountain grade out there somewhere, it's been too long, I don't remember exactly where. I knew this grade, it's STRAIGHT down, there are no curves to it. One day, coming up to that "grade" I decided to go down it in neutral. Lol. The speedometer on that truck went up to 110 - it was an Astro semi. The speedometer was pegged, well beyond 110. Whatever speed I was going, halfway down the mountain, a very large deer with large antlers came out of nowhere and STOPPED, dead in it's tracks, in my lane. It was staring, motionless, at my truck. I shut off the headlights and prayed to God that I wasn't going to hit this animal, because going this fast, well, it's a done deal - the truck was going to crash and I might be dead. Or not, who knows. At the very last, possible second for that freakin' animal to move - he DID. He bolted and ran. I think my heart was visibly showing! BS? Call it what you want, I was there, it's one of those vivid memories that never goes away.

Like Yoopr said, this thing is still going. Yep,one thing about this industry, there is a lot of bull being shot. :P
Yeah,I used to have a 2000 379 with a 1200 cat,18 speed,with 3.55 rears. It'd run 95 at about 1100 rpm. I used to run a WalMart dedicated,hauling their toilet paper. :P  :P  :P

I did have a triple digit tractor at one time 88 Internation 9300 set up with a 444 cunnions set for 720 at the flywheel thanks to Bruce at diesel injection of Pittsburgh 13 double over and 3.55 rears on 24.5 big rubber. She would run the best run I had was Streator IL to Ferdoina NY 560 hub miles in 7 hours actual time that is how long it took me time stamps on the bills since it was a load to keep the plant running in NY. Streator messed up and loaded me late not a shocker there however. needless to say I miss that old girl. I wish I had taken my boss up on the offer and bought it if I kept my foot out of it it got 6.5 MPG foot in it 4.5.
