A couple years ago when I was always on various boards I was known as Ala, I may stick witht that or go to SpitFire or SunFire (the current 4wheel beater I own now). I will be graduating CDL class the end of next week or the week after and am extremely confused on what company to work for still, LOL.

Rikki_359 when did you live in Casper? Thats where I was born and raised, spent 13 years there before moving to Seattle back in 1990.

Sunfire, let's see......about around 1975 or so. I loved it. I had a beautiful basement apartment for $80./month, all utilities paid. Like to find that now. lol I worked out at the Skelly Truck Stop on the hill where I learned to waitress at a ripe ol age of 19. That's when the Bullpen Husky was downtown and they had just built the new Husky. I miss WY. That'll always be my dream retirement place. Back then the men outnumbered the women 15 or 20 to 1 so needless to say I got 3 years of a rotten marriage out of my system. I've never been back to Casper, only through WY on I-80. That'll be on my to do list. Welcome here....

Sunfire, I also have 2 girlfriends who live in WA, one in Everette or the part they renamed Lake Stevens, and one down in Ellensburg. I've visited both several times on and off the truck. As beautiful as WA is, WY will always have my heart.

LOL, Rikki, I feel the exact opposite. I still love WY, don't get me wrong, and I will visit "home" every chance I get but I don't plan on ever living there again. I can't say I miss Seattle that much either, rains way too much for my taste. I have lived in Kentucky, LA CA, Mississippi, Iowa and now Illinois. I think the next place I call home will be somewhere on the East coast. I love being a nomad though and traveling around. I think that was what really sealed the deal on my decision to become a trucker

Sunfire, I used to live in LA, AL. WY, and when on the NY truck lived out on Long Island-we had a company house in Centereach. I'd love to 'retire' on a small ranch out in the middle of nowhere in WY with my horses and the rest of the critters. When I was younger I moved around also, could fit all my worldly possessions in the trunk of my Electra 225 ( duce anda quarter). While out in West Tx I lived in the cab of my pick up with my little dog. I have put my time in being a nomad, but like coming 'home' now.

Default Handle

For over 20 years now, my handle has been "Landshark" based on the character from the old "Saturday Nite Live" tv shows. Currently driving on a dedicated account for Air-Ride inc. running from Omaha to Des Moines and back 4 nites a week. (been on this run 9 years) I leave Omaha at 2245 and usually return about 0430. ( great gig-only 1200 mi./week, pays like 2800mi./week)

My handle is Exquisite ... as in Exquisite Paine, it was given to me as a nickname, due to the extensive amount of tattoos I have.

I am an owner/op and I lease for Landstar.

I go by Homebrew, occasionally brew my own beer at home when I have the time. Drive a 2000 Freightliner Century Class Condo, Black with yellow, white, grey and purple flames going from the front fender to the middle of the sleeper. Currently with SCG, driving teams across all 48. Shout if you see me, team driver goes by Rainman.
