One question I have...
What did the damage to the truck come to.... In dollars and cents? Yes, I am aware it could have been a total loss, and very glad it wasn't.

LNS last time I heard language like that it was when my Brother a Master Sargent in the USAF was ripping a newly minted airman a NEW AHOLE for installing the rocket motor UPSIDE down in the ejection seat of a F-16 last fall in SC at his new base. No wonder the Base Commander pulled a few strings to get him back there to fix the issues he had with the maintance squadrons such as work not getting done and the afore mentioned seat issues. You would have made my Grandfather proud he was a Master Cheif in the US Navy OLD school style.

That was about 4 km South of the brake check at 474. (Trout River) I've been good! Had 3 weeks holidays, 1 in Mexico... ahhhh.

Ok, so once again I offer LadyNorthStar a job as a trainer in my school.
One thing I will NOT have to work on is the swearing. Usually it takes me months to train someone who can string that many things together in one sentence. She can run in the snow, swear like a logger, drive at night, get hit by slides and come out with not much more than a few dents. Where you been all my life?? Long time no chat Rocky!! Hope all is well with you! If I ever end up in that part of the world, you bet I'll come work for ya. =D

No actual damage to the truck itself. As for cost.. whatever a couple of wiring connectors cost and the time our mechanic took to bolt the lights back on with a new plastic bracket. (Which probably came off an old light.) I also had the steer replaced that had gone flat. I aired it up out there and it held, but the general consensus was that it shouldn't be trusted.

I've had 3 steers blow out on me during my career, but none was on snow or ice. That's something I'm not really anxious to learn first hand. Glad to hear that was all that happened.
