2006, here I come!!!
Well I hope this finds you all doing well and having fun! I think that after sitting at home for a couple days I should finally get this thing caught up. Before I forget, I'm adding in chemical tanker pay and benefit info alongside the food-grade stuff. There will be a few question marks and blank areas where I haven't gotten the info just yet, but I will (provided recruiters answer the questions)! Just please be patient. In other news, North American Tank LInes may be going away according to the food-grade scuttlebutt around Florida. Anyway, guess I should get to typing so I can go to sleep. Y'all have a great day ... Week 1: -Springfield, KY to Blackshear, GA for day off, then load going to Ripon, CA (638 empty + 2,652 loaded = 3,290 total.....washout and live load 01-03/1215-1600, live unload 01-06/1950-2135, then dropped my tank across the street at the yard for washing that night. Hooked back up to it the next morning before heading out for the next load). End of week total: 3,290 miles + Holiday pay. Week 2: -Ripon, CA to Tipton, CA for load going to Waupun, WI via Salt Lake City, UT (159 empty + 2,235 loaded = 2,394 total.....washout and live load 01-07/2135 to 01-08/0055, live unload and washout 01-11/1820-2100). -Waupun, WI to Fair Oaks, IN for day off then load going to Braselton, GA (236 empty + 685 loaded = 921 total.....live load 01-13/0145-0215, live unload and washout 01-14/1445-1800). End of week total: 3,315 miles. Week 3: -Braselton, GA to Mulberry, FL to swap tanks, then to Clewiston, FL for load going to Azusa, CA (529 empty + 130 empty + 2,635 loaded = 3,294 total.....live load 01-16/1800-2120, live unload 01-20/1500-1845). End of week total: 3,294 miles. Week 4: -Azusa, CA to Tulare, CA for tank wash, then to Tipton, CA for load going to Waupun, WI via Salt Lake City, UT (190 empty + 11 empty + 2,235 loaded =2,436 total.....washout and live load 01-21/1835-2300, live unload and washout 01-241650-1945). -Waupin, WI to Fair Oaks, IN for two days off, then for load to Braselton, GA (236 empty + 685 loaded = 921 total.....live load 01-27/0145-0230, live unload and washout 01-28/1015-1130). From there to the house, where I sit until Monday morning where I'm preplanned to head back up to Blackshear, GA to load for Ripon, CA. End of week miles: 3,357 miles. Week 5: N/A due to time off. Looks as though this year is actually starting out a little better than last, but we still have 11 months to go, and before ya know it we'll be there. Now, if things stay as planned here's what I'll be doing immediately upon leaving... Week 6 (subject to change, but highly unlikely): -Braselton, GA to Jacksonville, FL for tank wash and time off, then to Blackshear, GA for load going to Ripon, CA (397 empty + 80 empty + 2,652 loaded = 3,129 total.....scheduled to washout and live load 02-06, scheduled to live unload 02-10). 2006 Totals (with leaving out 02-06...with preplan): Miles: 13,256...............................*16,385 Loads: 6 (12)................................7 (14) Live loads/unloads: 12 (100%)....14 Drop and Hooks: 0 (0%)...............0 Length of Haul: 2,209 miles.........*2,341 Days working: 24 Days off: 12 (8-FL, 3-IN, 1-GA)

Hello Devil Dog!!! (1990 - 1994, Okinawa Japan & Camp Lejeune 0311/2531 OORAH!!!!). Hey, are you still driving for AArtman?? I am thinking about driving for them. I noticed they pay a $41 per day per diem. Is that on top of mileage pay, or is that a part of the mileage package?? Let me know. You can also e-mail me [email protected].
Semper Fi!!!

Hey Arik!
Semper Fi back to you Leatherneck!!! Yep, I'm stil with Aartman, and not going anywhere else. You'll see that Jim raised our per diem up to $54 a day. Here's how it works for us (quite simple actually). I'll use a typical pay period for me as an example, and compare it to what I was, and what I'd be doing at Shaffer if I was still there now. The results may be suprising... Jim Aartman (Paid bi-weekly, all figures rounded up/down): 6400 miles x .34 = $2,176 gross minus per diem figure listed next... 12 days out x $54 =$648 Adjusted gross = $1,528 401k x 5% = $76 (with company match = $152) Adjusted gross = $1,452 Tax x 25% = $363 Adjusted gross = $1, 089 Cell phone reimbursement = $14 Adjusted net = $1,103 Per diem reimbursement = $648 Adjusted net before any cash advances or other reimbursements = $1,751 Shaffer (paid weekly, all figures rounded up/down): 2600 miles x .41 = $1,066 gross 401k x 5% = $53 (with company match = $59) Adjusted gross = $1,013 Tax x 25% = $253 Adjusted net before any cash advances or other reimbursements = $760 To keep things fair, here's how my pay would look IF Shaffer was capable of running me as consistently and with as many miles as Jim Aartman does...which they can't! 3200 miles x .41 = $1,312 gross 401k x 5% = $66 (with company match = $73) Adjusted gross = $1,246 Tax x 25% = $312 Adjusted net before any cash advances or other reimbursements = $934 If ya haven't seen my recent updates listed earlier on this same page, here's what we're paying now. JIM AARTMAN INC., Line Haul Division (1 year O.T.R. required) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...rtman_T800.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...n_Columbia.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...rtman_9200.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...artman_379.jpg Starting mileage pay (Practical Route): 0- 6 months: .32 7 months-1 Year: .33 1+ years: .34 Per Diem: $54 per day out.
