Skeeter... http://www.foodliner.com/driver.htm
I've heard good about them but, I also have a very close friend who went there and left after a couple of weeks due to load schedules. Now mind you this man has driven food grade for over twelve years with most of it being at Indian River Transport. He hired into Foodliner's dry bulk division and was thrust into a world of having load times between midnight and two a.m., then being expected to deliver several hours later with little or no time to stop for any breaks enroute. And we used to think that some of the stuff we had at I.R.T. was rush, rush, rush !However, I don't think he would have experienced this problem had he stayed with liquid bulk ...

I've been at Foodliner a few months.Stress free job compared to my last one (hauling gas in NYC).
I've been working mon/fri,with the occassional saturday, with one or two nights out every week.I'm doing liquid sugar and corn syrup. All easy stuff though the sugar refinery I load at has trouble meeting the loading schedule.Detention (after2 hrs) is 15$/hr. Some loads can be tight on driving time, though you just call dispatch if your running late. No drama. On the other hand some loads have too much slop time.(12hrs to load and drive 330 miles). Normally stop and get the truck washed,go for a hike,or just slack off when I get these loads. Pay is by the load, some terminals have a minimum weekly guarantee. If your not on a guarantee, the key to making a decent pay check is backhauls. Equipment is decent, tractors get swaped every 3 years and trailers are all air ride. I like the work, the company is okay and both my manager and dispatcher are easy to get along with.So far so good. Almost forgot,it's about 50/50,live load, drop and hook.

Happy Super Bowl Weekend!!!
I hope everyone is ready for the game tomorrow. I'm sitting in the Kankakee area visiting with friends (and have been since Friday afternoon), and let me tell you, they're happy as can be with the matchup! I'll just have to say I think it will be a great game, but I hope to see the Colts pull it off... Well it's about time you made it over here "PS" Soundman! Heck at least Grandpa and I, the great "GPS", have been over here for a while :P. We all know the only reason your average is so high is due to you being on that dedicated local run from Memphis to Calvert City and back ! When you gonna transfer into the system slacker??? Superior bought the company not too long ago. It does look a little odd when I see an old Central truck with the name Superior written on the doors.... I still miss chemical hauling....
