I don't have the patience nor diligence to read that whole thing, but now I know that *** and *** are covered by the word filter, even when they are legitimate parts of longer words. Sweet.

Yeah, if somebody actually read all that they must have been really bored.

Don't take his word for it, he cannot be trusted according to the fry guy at McDonald's. You have to do your homework at the Petro in the driver's lounge where the real industry pro's hang around spreading their knowledge!

Saw a truck similiar to this one yesterday in the St. Louis area. It looked like the fresh reflective tape running down the side was the only thing holding the truck together. To say it was rusty would be a gross understatement. How could someone possibly live in something like that, could you imagine spending 2-3 weeks at time in one of those.

Car hauling is great but you need to know what ure doing all the time.Pulling in and out of a trailer with a very expensive car can be pretty stressful, if u don't know what u doing. Also with the way economy is i think car hauling went down first within the transportation segment. And it will continue to be like this until people's income starts rising again so they can afford cars.

I've been driving for BMT for 2 and a half years. I live in New Jersey and run regional. It is a good company to work for. If you live in the northeast you can be on a 6/1 schedule. 6 days on Sundays off. More times than not you can get the whole weekend off. If you live in other parts of the hiring area you can choose either a 2 week/2 days off schedule or a 3 week/3 days off schedule. The money is excellent. If you run steady you can make over $70K a year. My first 2 years I have made much more than $70K. The truck pictured on this thread is the exception to the rule. That truck is on it's way out and chances are the truck you are assigned will be in better shape than that old pile of junk. I run a 2005 Sterling conventional that hauls 9 cars at a time. We have 60 of those in the fleet. 13 2008 Peterbilts (12 7 car open racks and 1 prototype enclosed) We also are in the process of receiving 13 2009 Western Star enclosed trucks to replace the older junk that needs to be retired. We have contracts with BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, Volvo, VW/Audi, Subaru, Jeep, Ford with terminals in New Jersey, Baltimore, Greer, SC, Toledo, OH, Lafayette, IN, Kansas City, MO, and Davisville, RI. We have recently been acquired by Corinthian Capital Management to put some new money into the company. Any questions just reply to this thread and I will be happy to answer them.

Question

Wouldn't you have to have a nearly perfect safety record to get hired with a company that

is entrusted with high dollar auto mobiles ?

I saw one exotic car carrier and their recruiting sign said minimum 5 yrs safe driving.

Nope, you can't have too much bad stuff on your DAC but you don't need to be perfect.

To address some of the questions asked: I don't know the details of warrens past, neither do I care. He is no longer part of the company as he is fully retired. While pmtg may not be right for everyone, i have been here a year and a half and love it. I run 6/1 and make good money. The truck pictured is definately the exception, they are currently aquiring new equipment to work towards retiring the old ones. Make no mistake, u will earn your money, walking out to get every car in all kinds of weather. But there is money to be made. As far as past record, no felonies or dui/dwi at all, that is part of the contract stipulations with the companies we haul for.If I can answer any other questions be happy too.
